Please read these instructions carefully prior to
setting the unit into operation and keep them for
later use.
1 Applications
In combination with a receiver, the transmitter
TXS-8..SX makes up a wireless microphone
system. This system allows wireless transmission
of music and speech from the microphone to the
receiver. The range is approx. 30 m and depends
on local conditions.
It is possible to combine e. g. the following
receivers from the "img Stage Line" range with
the TXS-8..SX transmitters:

1.1 Conformity and Approval
Herewith, MONACOR INTERNATIONAL declare
that the units TXS-820SX and TXS-822SX are
in accordance with the basic requirements and
the other relevant regulations of the directive
1995/5/EC. The declaration of conformity can be
found in the Internet via the MONACOR INTER-
NATIONAL home page (www.imgstageline.de).
The units are licence-free and generally ap-
proved for operation in EU and EFTA countries.
2 Safety Notes
The transmitter and the microphone are suit-
able for indoor use only. Protect them against
dripping water and splash water, high air humid-
ity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no
means chemicals or water.
No guarantee claims for the transmitter or the
microphone and no liability for any resulting

personal damage or material damage will be
accepted if the transmitter or the microphone is
used for other purposes than originally intend-
ed, if it is not correctly connected, operated, or
not repaired in an expert way.
If the transmitter and the microphone are
to be put out of operation definitively,
take them to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.
Dead batteries or defective rechargeable bat-
teries do not belong in the household rubbish,
always take them to a special waste disposal
(e. g. collective container at your retailer).
3 Mounting the Headband

1) Widen or narrow the head piece according to

your head size (fig. 1a).

2) If necessary, modify the angle of the ear piece

to obtain a comfortable fit (fig. 1b).

3) Adjust the strap on the head piece to ensure a
tight fit (fig. 1c).
4) Clamp the microphone and the cable holder to
the head piece (fig. 1d).
5) Put on the head piece and adjust the micro-
phone in such a way that it is max. 15 mm from
the corner of your mouth (fig. 1e).
4 Setting into Operation
1) Open the battery compartment. Insert a 9 V bat-
tery with the positive and negative poles as indi-
cated in the battery compartment (fig. 3).
2) Fasten the transmitter on your belt by means of
the clip (3). If required, turn the clip by 90°
(locks into place). For this purpose, slightly
release the screw on the clip and then retight-
en it.
3) Connect the headband microphone to the jack
(5) on the transmitter. The microphone plug
can be secured from getting loose by screwing
the knurled nut [(7) in fig. 1d] of the plug on the
jack.

4) Adjust the input sensitivity with the switch
SENS (6) in the batttery compartment:
pos. 1 for connecting an electric guitar or
pos. 2 for connecting a dynamic micro-
pos. 3 for the supplied headband micro-

POWER (2). The red LED (1) lights up as a
power indicator. If it fails to light up or if it only
shows a dim light, the battery is exhausted and
must be replaced.

is mute, i. e. it is switched on but no sound is
transmitted.
6) Speak into the microphone. Advance the con-
trol VOL (4) to such an extent that the receiver
is not overloaded, i. e. that the transmission
signal is not distorted.
7) Remember to switch off the transmitter after
operation. If it is not used for a longer period
(e. g. more than a week), the battery should be
removed to prevent any damage to the trans-
mitter caused by potential battery leakage.
