Warning and Safety
instructions
The drying basket may only be
used in a Miele tumble dryer which
has been specified as suitable for its
use.
To avoid the risk of damage please
make sure you also read the
operating instructions supplied with
your Miele tumble dryer before using
the drying basket.
Please also note the following:
– Do not place other textiles or objects
in the dryer at the same time as
using the drying basket. Make sure
the drum is empty before positioning
the drying basket.
– The drying basket must not be
positioned at an angle.
– To avoid the risk of overheating you
must select the Low temperature
option when using the Timed drying
warm air programme.
– Sleeves, ties and belts, knee length
boots etc. must be completely
contained in the basket and must not
come into contact with the drum or
with the drum ribs in the dryer. If
these were to get tangled up the
drying basket and the dryer could
suffer damage.
The maximum height of an item being
dried must not exceed 250 mm.
Use
^ The drying basket does not rotate
with the drum. This enables items

which must not be subjected to
mechanical action to be dried or aired.
^ See illustrations a-e on page 4 for
further instructions on using the
drying basket correctly.
A Open the tumble dryer door.
B Hook the drying basket onto the
drum aperture as illustrated:
^ Make sure the drying basket is sitting
horizontally in the drum
(illustration a).
^ The two brackets at the front of the
drying basket must be hooked into
the groove in the door seal
(illustration b).
The drying basket also supports itself
inside the dryer.
The drying basket must sit
horizontally in the drum (illustration c).
C Load the drying basket correctly.
Maximum load: 3 kg!
(illustrations c-e).
D Close the tumble dryer door.
E Select Timed drying cool air or
Timed drying warm air together
with the Low temperature option.
Other programmes cannot be used
because the load monitoring system in
the tumble dryer will cause the
programme to abort after a short while.
F When you have finished using the
drying basket take it out of the
tumble dryer.
^ If necessary it can be cleaned using
a mild cleaning agent or soapy water.
Dry using a clean soft cloth.
