Airbrush Compressor Smart Start /Stop
Item no. 1719346
Intended use
This product is solely designed for private use in the field of model making and the operating times associated
with it. This system is not suitable for industrial use.
It has a "smart" start-stop function which stops the compressor when a compatible airbrush is inserted into
the integrated holder. The compressor will automatically start back up when the airbrush is drawn.
This product shall only be used indoors. The product must not become damp or wet.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product
for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can
cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc.

Safety instructions
Read these important notes and the accompanying instruction manual attentively and particularly
observe the safety notes. If the safety notes and the information regarding proper handling are
not observed, we assume no liability for any resulting injury/property damage. In such cases, the
warranty/guarantee will also lapse.
a) General Information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous playing material
for children.
• In schools, training facilities, hobby or self-service workshops, handling of electrical devices must be
monitored by trained personnel.
• Protect the device from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture,
flammable gases, steam and solvents.
• Do not place the device under any mechanical stress.
• Inspect the impact wrench for damage, disrepair, or missing parts, including assessing the condition of the
air hose and associated fittings. Check the air hose and fittings are secured tightly.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any
accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the product.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the device. Maintenance,
modifications and repairs must only be completed by a technician or an authorised repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical
support service or other technical personnel.
• Operators must always wear impact resistant protective goggles with side protectors, gloves, protective
clothing and a suitable respirator when operating the tool.
b) Power Adaptor
• Connect the appliance to a wall socket that can be accessed easily.
• As power supply, only use the supplied mains adaptor.
• Only connect the power adaptor to a normal mains socket connected to the public supply. Before plugging
in the power adaptor, check whether the voltage stated on the power adaptor complies with the voltage
of your electricity supplier.
• Never connect or disconnect power adaptors if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the power adaptor from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always use the grips on
the plug.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses a risk of injury.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the power adaptor from the mains socket during storms.
c) Compressor
• To prevent overheating, do not continuously run the compressor for more than 30 minutes. After 30
minutes of continuous operation use the ON/OFF switch to turn OFF the unit or place the airbrush into the
holder to pause the compressor. Allow the unit to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before turning the compressor
back on again.
• Depending on the airbrush model placed into the airbrush holder, the "smart" stop sensor may not activate.
If this happens, position the compressor set until the hose hangs down smoothly on the table and the
"smart" stop detects the airbrush and activates.
• Always place the compressor on a stable and flat surface, and remain in attendance when the compressor
is in operation.
• Do not insert any foreign objects into the openings of the compressor.
• Always switch the compressor OFF when not in use or when replacing fittings. The system may still be
under pressure when the compressor is switched off.
d) Air Hose
• Use of a damaged or contaminated hose poses a risk of occupational accident. Air hoses must be:
- Firmly attached.
- Free of leaks (if leak is detected, immediately shutoff compressed air supply),
- Protected against mechanical damage and effect of caustic agents (acids, bases), oil and grease.
• If the air pressure is low, check for air leaks where air can be heard escaping, or apply a soap and water
solution on all connections. Resulting bubbles indicate an air leak.
• If exposed to caustic substances, wash the hose with copious amount of water and check whether it is still
free of leaks, discolorations or deformations and whether the stiffness of the hose and external surface is
unaltered. Do not use a damaged hose.
• Use of armored hoses is recommended at locations where hose is exposed to mechanical damage.
• Do not lift or carry the airbrush by holding the hose. Protect the hose against heat, oil and sharp edges.
• Depressurize hoses before connecting / disconnecting from pneumatic wrench and compressor.
• The air hose must be long enough to reach the work area and allow free movement while working.
• Air hoses must only be connected or disconnected after compressed air has been shut off. Do not stop
supply of compressed air by kinking a hose!
• After connecting the hose to a source of compressed air, test fire the hose to remove any accumulated
particles inside the hose all the while observing necessary safety precautions.
• RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Air hoses must never touch or be routed nearby live electric conductors.
e) Overspray
• Some paints are flammable. A spark, flame, etc. can start a fire or create an explosion. Remove any
sources of ignition and make sure the room is well ventilated.
• Paint is toxic, even paint that says non-toxic is bad to breathe. Wear a mask or respirator.Urethanes,
lacquers, etc. generally require you to wear a respirator with a filter appropriate to that kind of paint.
• Absorbing paint through the skin can be harmful. Wear protective clothing appropriate to the type of paint
used. If in doubt contact the paint manufacturer.
• Paints approved for topical use on the skin like make up, tanning solution, or body paint don't need any
protective clothing.
Disposal
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
