Passive stereo line/phono converter

The line/phono converter
line level sources, such as CD, MP3, DVD, or PC, to the magnetic phono input of a mixer, amplifier or
recording unit. Nowadays phono inputs are largely unused because vinyl record players are getting rare.
This little helper makes it possible to use those inputs as an extra line input.
Unlike magnetic cartridges, line level audio signals are too high and are not equalized for phono inputs.
This circuit does an attenuation of the line level signal to phono input levels and inverses the RIAA
frequency characteristic to counteract the automatic frequency "shaping" of an amplifiers phono input
stage. The type of phono input doesn't matter. The
inputs and moving coil (MC) inputs as the output level adjusts automatically. The
passive mode, i.e. it does not require any operating voltage.

Before your initial start-up, please make sure that there are no transport damages.
Should there be any, do not take the device into operation and immediately consult your
dealer.
Operate the device only after having familiarized with its functions. Do not permit operation by
persons not qualified for operating the device.
This product was designed for indoor use only.
Protect the device against humidity and heat. The ambient temperature must always be between
5° C and 35° C. Keep away from heaters and other heating sources!
Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by authorized dealers. Damage,
caused by manual modifications on the device are not subject to warranty. If the device is used for
other purposes than originally intended or if it is not correctly connected, the product may suffer
damages and the guarantee becomes void.

Connections
Connect your stereo audio source with line level to the RCA jacks INPUT. Pay attention to
the color coding of the jacks and plugs (red jack = RIGHT, white jack = LEFT).
Connect the jacks OUTPUT to a phono input of a mixer, amplifier or recording unit.
Use the ground terminal for a possible ground connection.
