current of the power source.
• Connect the USB plug (6) to an available USB port on your computer.
• Connect a USB device to an available USB port (1) on the hub.
• Turn the power on or off for each port using the corresponding switch (2).
• A port LED (3) will indicate that a USB port is powered on.
Power Adaptor (Not Included)
Make sure that all connected devices do not exceed the max. possible supplied
current of the power source.
• The hub functions in "Bus-Powered-Mode". This means that the 500mA current supplied by
the computer is divided by 4 ports.
• If a power adaptor (5 V/DC, min. 2000 mA) is used, all 4 ports can supply a current of 500
mA. Refer to "Technical Data" section for power adapter requirements.
• Connect the power adaptor to the DC power port (5).
You can connect up to four USB devices to the hub. The hub supports plug & play
and hot-swapping (device drivers are automatically recognized and the devices
themselves can be removed while the OS is running).
USB 2.0 is backwards compatible with USB 1.1. To reach USB 2.0 transfer speeds
(480 MBit/s, 60 MByte/s) the connected device must also support USB 2.0. The data
transfer rate is split across the 4 ports.
