LIQUID LEVEL SENSOR
Features
The NVS- sensor is used for monitoring a liquid level in a
glass tube. The operation is based on an optical principle
and works with infrared light. The reliabilitiy of level
monitoring is independent of the transparency of the
liquid and covers the range of pure water to non-trans-
parent oil. The sensor is insensitive to normal illumination
(e.g. 100W filament lamp in 1m distance) and short light
flashes.
Installation
The sensor is fixed on the glass tube with mounting
clamps of the sensor case. A white line on both clamps
marks the switching point of the sensor as reference for
the proper position on the tube. The connection cable
shall be fixed with a cable grip near the sensor.
Keep the inside and outside surface of the glass tube
clean within the detecting area. Heavy pollution will
disable the sensor detecting a level drop of the liquid.
