5.5 Temperature limitation

The FSW 27 station is equipped with an optional temperature
limiting function. This scalding protection is deactivated in the
works setting.
• Switch on: Select the limit temperature with the arrow keys
and , then press the service key
simultaneously for at least 3 sec. The display briefly
confirms the activation by >temp protection enabled<.
Afetr activation of the scalding protection it is impossible to
select a higher temperature.
• Switch off: press the service key
simultaneously for at least 3 sec. The display briefly
confirms the deactivation by >temp protection off<.
Note:
Please be aware that eventually the temperature offset of the
fresh water unit has been set on a higher level. In this case
reduce the OFFSET value.

5.6 Reset to factory setting

All factory setting can be recalled:
• Press the setup key
from „10" to „00" in second intervals. The appliance is reset
at value „00" - if you stop pressing the key earlier, the
process will be canceled.

5.7 How to save energy

Set the exact temperature you need on the
appliance and open the hot water tap.
Once you feel that the water is to hot, do
not add any cold water and instead, enter
a lower temperature on the appliance.
If you were to add cold water, the water already heated would
cool down again and valuable energy would be wastet.
Moreover, the cold water added in the tap is not covered by the
control range of the electronic circuitry, with the result that
temperature constancy is no longer guaranteed when using
several taps at once.

5.8 Operation with solar systems

When operating with solar systems, the fresh water station
ensures that the inlet temperature do not exceed 70°C.
Only in the initial operation phase this may occure if the
instructions were accomplished correctly!
The maximum temperature of the solar buffer tank shall not
excced 80°C.
If the inlet temperature exceeds the setpoint, the appliance is
not providing any output and the display shows „INLET TEMP
TOO HIGH".

5.9 Venting after maintenance work outside the station

The FWS 27 features an automatic air bubble
protection to prevent it from inadvertently running
dry. Nevertheless, the appliance must be vented
before.using it for the first time.
Each time the appliance is emptied (e.g. after work on the
plumbing system, if there is a risk of frost or following repair
work), the appliance must be re-vented before it is used again.
• Disconect the instantaneous water heater from the main by
disactivating the fuse.
• Unscrew the jet regulator on the outlet fitting and open the
cold water tap valve to rinse out the water pipe and avoid
contaminating the appliance or the jet regulator.
• Open and close the hot water tap until no more air emerges
from the pipe ans all air has been eliminated from the water
heater.
• Only then should you re-connect the power supply to the
instantaneous water heater and screw the jet regulator back
in.
Maintenance work must only conducted by an authorised
professional!

5.10 Cleaning and replacing the filter strainer

The cold water connection (connection I) of the fresh water unit
is equipped with a ball valve and a filter strainer. Soiling of the
strainer may reduce the warm water output. According to
German Institute for Standardization DIN1988/ EN806 an
ongoing closure of a cold water inlet in a system has to be
avoided. Therefore the cold water ball valve is sealed.
Therefore the sealing may only be removed for short cleaning
or replacing period of the filter strainer.
After the cleaning or replacement of the filter the ball valve has
to be closed immediately and sealed again to avoid permanent
closure.
Clean or replace the strainer as follow:
• De-energize the instantaneous water heater by means of
the house fuse and prevent inadvertent reactivation of them.
