Congratulations! Your decision to purchase our high quality Gehmann shooting
frames will be amply rewarded when you utilize the improved adjustment
possibilities to achieve even better fitment and subsequent scores. Our shooting
frames correspond to the international l.S.S.F. rules. The variety of adjustment
possibilities will allow you to present a professional figure in all international
shooting events as weil as national shooting disciplines.
1. Adjustment to achieve perfect fit of your frames
•
Width adjustment: loosen front screws ( 1) and choose one of the three frame
threads to readjust the side-bars of your frames according to your personal needs
•
Length adjustment: use the supplied Allen key to release Allen screws (2), then
adjust the length of theside-bar
2. Correct adjustment of lens holder
•
Loosen locking screws (3) slightly. Put on your frames and get into shooting
position. The lens holder has to be positioned in vertical and horizontal axis to
your eye while aiming. Take care to focus your sight in the middle of the lens
holder when aiming. lf possible ask one of your shooting sport friends to support
you and to control frame adjustment while you are taking aim. You can also check
frame adjustments using our centering devices (344 + 344K).
Please pay attention to the screws after adjustment in order to avoid
damaging the threads.
3. Adjustment of the nose bridge
•
Nose bridge (5) can easily adjusted in width by putting on the glasses and
pinching the sides
Clip-on irises are available for the 23mm lens holders, as weil as for the 37mm version.
Shooters use our clip-on irises particularly for shooting with open sights. Our clip-on
irises are used to adjust and improve the depth of field and to sharpen the rearsight
and foresight picture. The iris apertures are infinitely adjustable in order to meet the
shooters' individual needs. We generally recommend to use our flip-up eyeshields
(301) and our additional sideshields (338) to avoid unnecessary frontal or lateral light
reflection which may disturb the shooter while aiming. Please pay attention to attach
the sideshields to the smaller part of the side-bars, before carefully pushing them
forth to the wider part (4).
