Installation
Single Stage Installation
In a single stage installation, no additional video splitters are daisy-chained down from the first
unit. To set up a single stage installation, please follow the setup below:
1. Use a HD 15 Male/Female video extension cable to connect the PC's video port to the 'VIDEO IN'
port of the video splitter.
2. Use HD 15 Male/Male video cables to connect the 'VIDEO OUT' ports of the video splitter to the
monitors, unless your monitors have got mounted video cables on them in which case video
extension cables are required.
3. Plug the power adapter into an AC source; and then plug the power adapter cable into the video
splitter's power connection.
4. Power up the video splitters, power up the monitors and power up the PCs in that order.
Daisy Chaining
To provide content on additional displays than the number of available 'VIDEO OUT' ports on
The VGA splitter, additional splitters can be daisy chained.

Use a HD 15 Male/ Female video extension cable to connect an available 'VIDEO OUT' port on the
higher level video splitter to the 'VIDEO IN' port of the lower level video splitter.

4 and 8-port models can be mixed on the same chain.
▪
Theoretically there is no limit to the number of levels in the chain but please be aware that the signal
quality may deteriorate as the chain of connectivity is expanded further and further.
Please Note: If you connect a DDC type monitor to 'VIDEO OUT' port No. 1, all other monitors must be
able to support the highest resolution that the DDC monitor can provide.
