Safety and warning instructions
Do not expose the unit to strong vibrations, and avoid impacts or falls.
Moisture or liquids that enter the enclosure can render the ring light
irreparable. Should moisture be present in the device, immediately
switch off the device and remove the batteries or rechargeable batte-
ries. Consult the dealer where you purchased the device for diagnostics
and inspection.
Do not use the device outdoors in snow or rain.
Do not place your LED camera light on dust or sand.
Always use only new batteries or fully charged batteries of the same
type. In no case should old and new batteries and/or rechargeable and
nonrechargeable batteries be mixed together and are not allowed to be
used together in the LED camera light.
If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the
batteries or rechargeable batteries.
Should you notice a defect with your LED camera light, please return
the device to the dealer where you purchased it. Remove the batteries
immediately if you suspect that there is a defect. If you are using the
camera light with an optional power supply unit, immediately disconnect
the camera light.
Do not leave the ring light and its accessories in a parked car in direct
sunlight.
In the event of unusually high operating temperatures, strange ope-
rating noise or smoke emission, disconnect the device from mains or
remove the batteries and immediately proceed to a specialized dealer.
Become familiar with all safety and warning instructions for the operati-
on of this device or when in operation.
Avoid buildup of condensation.

Operation by means of rechargeable bat-
teries or nonrechargeable batteries
1. Remove the battery compartment cover by pressing the clip on the
rear of the unit inward and lightly raising the cover. Do not damage
the fastening clip by turning it forcefully.
2. Place 4 AA/minion rechargeable batteries or batteries in the battery
compartment. Always use only new batteries or fully charged batte-
ries of the same type to ensure a constant supply of power. When
Lux
inserting the batteries, observe proper polarity (+/-).
560 Lux
280 Lux
Always replace all the batteries or rechargeable batteries at the same
70 Lux
time. Never mix the rechargeable or nonrechargeable batteries together
and never use new batteries together with previously used batteries.
3. Initially, fasten the standard assembly ring to the camera light and
lock this into place by attaching the knurled screw. After that, push
the ring light on the accessory shoe of the camera and also attach
this by securing the knurled screw. Ensure that the LED camera light
is securely mounted; lock it to begin photographing or filming.
4. Switch on the ring light with the main switch (OFF/ON).
By turning the main switch, you can smoothly regulate the luminous
power according to need.
Always switch the LED camera light off during assembly or disassembly.
Power supply unit operation
In a studio, at home or when in use, usage of an optional power supply
unit is available (not supplied with standard delivery). To begin opera-
tion, connect the power supply unit to the designated socket [3.0-
5.0VDC] on the LED camera light and then connect to mains.
Prior to exposure of more important motifs or events, become familiar
with the function and mode of operation of the LED camera light and
experiment with the various possibilities for light control.
LED-48CL
For shadow free and soft illumination of the motifs, the minimum dis-
tance should not be less than 8 cm.
!
Warning: Small parts, such as the enclosed assembly or
batteries, should never be within reach of unsupervised
small children. Small parts can be easily swallowed.
Maintenance, cleaning and service
Occasional care and cleaning of the device can provide a long service
life. Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth for cleaning the device. For
more severe soiling, moisten the cloth lightly. In no case should strong
cleaning agents be used such as alcohol, gasoline or thinner.
Remove empty batteries or rechargeable batteries from the battery
compartment to avoid discharge.
On the inside of the device, you do not need to service any parts. It
is recommended to occasionally clean the contacts in the battery
compartment with a cleaning pen available from a specialized dealer.
Take care during transport that the front of the LED camera light is not
scratched or becomes dirty.
Assistance in case of malfunction
The device cannot be activated
Replace the batteries or the rechargeable batteries with new ones or an
optional power supply unit. Should the device not always switch on, take
the device to the dealer from where it was purchased.
The photographs are too bright and/or overexposed
Reduce the luminous power of the camera light by rotating the main
switch. It can be necessary to use exposure compensation on the
camera for strongly reflecting or brilliant motifs. As an alternative, the
camera can be adapted for ISO film-speed settings (lower quality). In
some cases, the distance of the motif must be increased.
The photographs are too dark
Increase the luminous power of the camera light by rotating the main
switch. As an alternative, the camera can be adapted for ISO film-speed
settings (higher quality). In some cases, the distance of the motif must
be decreased (maximum 180 cm).
The photographs taken have shadowy/incomplete illumination on the
edges
Choose a larger focal distance (zoom) to minimize the image section.
The LED camera light illuminates up to a maximum f=35 mm (KB
equiv.).
The battery supply
The batteries do not belong in household garbage. In Germany, it is
a legal requirement for consumers to dispose of used batteries in an
environmentally responsible way. Batteries can generally at no cost be
returned to a place where new batteries can be purchased. If you are
unsure, ask your local municipal administration for available information
regarding a public collection point.
