Description
The magnetic contact and the magnet must be mounted facing
each other in a window frame/door leaf and window
surround/door surround.
Caution: Neither the contact nor the magnet can be installed in
ferromagnetic materials.
Special grade 3 magnetic contacts developed for installation in
ferromagnetic materials are available for this case.
The installation flange must only be mounted using screws made
of non-magnetic material.
When mounting is complete, the magnetic contact's electrical
switching function must be checked (e.g. using a continuity tester
or multimeter).
The application of mechanical force, e.g., when mounting the
device on the casing may damage the glass body of the reed
switch.
Only cyanacrylate adhesives (superglue) may be used to fix the
assembly parts. The processing instructions from the respective
manufacturer must be observed.
Caution: Measure the supply lines electrically before connecting
them!
