Summary
The AL-500-00 DALI input module 4CH has following interfaces:
• 1x DALI (V1)
• 4x Digital inputs with common ground
• 2x Address switch RS1 / RS2
• 1x Service LED green
• 1x Service button
The module reads the status of up to 4 digital inputs (potential free
closing contacts, for example standard light switches). The status (0/1)
of each input will be transferred via the DALI bus to an
AL-511-00 IP-DALI BRIDGE V2, part nr. 11991.
There you can access the status via MODBUS TCP from an Ethernet based
control system.
By the rotary swicth RS1, up to 10 modules can transfer up to 37
different input signals on the same DALI line.
Note:
DALI short address 63 is used by the AL-500-00 to transfer data on the
DALI line.

Installation/ safety precautions
• The AL-500-00 DALI input module 4CH is prepared for the installation
in any kind of housing.
• Once the AL-520-00 is mounted, the user must not have direct access
to the connection wires.
• The product label of the AL-500-00 must be visible after the
installation.
• Mounting of the device has to be done while power is switched off.
• AL-500-00 has to be mounted in an additional housing to fulfill the
double isolation requirement related to the connection wires.
Otherwise, only a single isolation is realized by the single wire
isolation.
• This device has not to be used in places where children might have
access to.
