Instructions for use
Testing range 1 – 11 atmospheres
Dimensions : 170 x 200 x 270 mm
1. Remove lid and fill the cylinder with water up to the
red line
2. Pull up the plunger in the lid and out of the water,
attach the watch to the holder on the end.
3. Make sure that the plunger is in the raised position,
replace the lid and screw down tightly (see figure 1).
4. Close the air release valve by screwing in completely
(A).
5. By pumping the lever, raise the pressure up to the
desired value (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 atmospheres etc.,
corresponding to water pressure at 10, 20, 30, 40,
50, 60 metres etc. in depth (see figure 2).
6. Immerse the watch in the water by pushing the knob
on the central plunger down completely (see figure
3).
7. Release air pressure gradually by unscrewing the
valve (A).
8. If the watch is not perfectly water-resistant, a series
of bubbles will leak from the point where the water-
resistance is faulty (for example: from the crown,
from the glass, from the back of the case).
9. NB : some bubbles may also appear on the rotating
bezel of the watch or on the crown – even on the
best "waterproof" watch – but this is merely due to
trapped residual air escaping from the outside, not a
water resistance defect.
10. Remove the watch from the water before the
indicator shows zero by raising the plunger.
The shafts 4 and 5 should be lubricated occasionally,
preferably with silicone lubricant.

Dévisser le couvercle et remplir le cylindre d'eau

jusqu'au niveau marqué par une ligne rouge.
2. Remonter le plongeur dans le couvercle et hors de
l'eau, accrocher la montre au crochet central.
S'assurer que le plongeur soit remonté au maximum

et revisser le couvercle (voir figure 1)
Fermer la valve à air en la vissant jusqu'au bout (A).

Avec le levier, pomper l'air pour obtenir la pression
5.
désirée (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 atmosphères, ce qui
correspond à la pression de l'eau à 10, 20, 30, 40,
50, 60 mètres de profondeur (voir figure 2).
6. Immerger la montre en poussant le pommeau du
plongeur central vers le bas afin que la montre soit
entièrement dans l'eau (voir figure 3).
Dévisser graduellement la valve pour que l'air

s'échappe.
Si la montre n'est pas complètement étanche, une

série de bulles vont s'échapper en continu de
l'endroit où se situe la fuite (par exemple de la
couronne, du verre, ou du dos de la boîte).
9. N.B. : Même les meilleures montres étanches
peuvent produire des bulles vers la lunette ou la
couronne. Ceci est dû à des résidus d'air qui
s'échappent vers l'extérieur et non pas à un défaut
d'étanchéité.
10. Avant que le manomètre indique zéro, retirer la
montre de l'eau en remontant le plongeur.
Occasionnellement, lubrifier les tiges 4 et 5 avec un lubrifiant
à base de silicone.

1. Svitare il coperchio del cilindro e riempire di acqua
fino al livello, segnato in rosso
Appendere l'orologio da provare al gancio del perno

centrale, fuori dall'acqua.
3. Assicurarsi che il perno central sia in posizione tutto
alto indi avvitare completamente il coperchio (fig. 1).
4. Avvitare completamente la valvola di scarico (A).
Pompare l'aria nel cilindro, mediante la leva fino all a

pressione desiderata (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ecc...
atmosfere, corrispondono all pressione dell'acqua a
10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, ecc... metri di profondità). (fig.
2).
6. Spingere il pomello del perno sitato sul coperchio,
fino in fondo, in modo che l'orologio si trovi
completamente immerso (fig. 3).
7. Svitare gradatamente la valvola a destra del cilindro
(A).
Se l'orologio non è perfettamente subacqueo si

vedranno serie di bollicine uscire da dove manca la
tenuta (esempio : dalla corona, dal vetro, dal fondello
della cassa).
9. Tenere presente che dalla ghiera girevole
dell'orologio o dalla corona potranno uscire una o
due bollicine di aria, anche nel migliore orologio
« sub » : si tratta però soltanto di poca aria residua
esterna, che non ha niente a che vedere con la
tenuta dell'orologio.
10. Tirare fuori l'orologio prima che l'indicatore segni
zero.
Ricordarsi di lubrificare le aste di scorrimento no. 4 e no. 5.
