ComBridge IPR
General Usage
The device is based on the KNXnet/IP standard and it is able to
connect different KNX lines via IP. The separated KNX lines can
communicate in this way. The IP Router can substitute a "classical"
line coupler. The KNX lines are completely galvanically separated
from each other. The data communication between the lines is done
via Multicast on the IP network.
Group Address filter-tables can be loaded in order to reduce the
traffic in the KNX line. The filter-tables are automatically generated
by ETS (Engineering Tool Software)
The physical connection to the KNX line is done via a standard bus
connector terminal block. The IP network is connected via RJ45
connector (100BaseT). The device requires an additional safety low
voltage 24V DC, which has to be connected to the second terminal
block (yellow/white).
The ComBridge IP Router supports up to 5 tunnel connections in
order to connect other clients, e.g. ETS or visualisation tools
(ComBridge Evolution).
The ComBridge IPR can be used as a line coupler or as an area
coupler depending on the ETS project.
The IP Address can be adjusted fix or it can be received from a
DHCP server in the network automatically. Default setting on de-
livery is DHCP.
