If you plan to use your Cubelite Travel kit overseas, remember to use the correct
voltage bulb and the appropriate mains power cable/adaptor.

1. Open the case and check the contents. You should

have a blue Cubelite carry case (containing the
cubelite, reflector, fabric background and clips), tripod,
stand base, stand riser, light head, reflector & grill, bulb
and mains adaptor.
2. Remove the Cubelite from the blue carry case.
3. Take hold of the blue edged outer rims firmly and
gently allow the Cubelite to 'pop' open. Warning - The
Cubelite is quite strong and can 'pop' out suddenly.
Take care with people an furniture in close proximity.
4. When the Cubelite has sprung open completely it will

form a square shape with rounded corners. Place the
Cubelite on the floor or a flat work surface.
5. Open out the Cubelite to form a right angle shape.
Then pull the middle section out diagonally and
manouver the steel to create a cube shape.
6. Place the Cubelite on your desktop. The Cubelite logo
should be at the top of the front panel.
7. Remove the fabric background and crocodile clips from
the blue carry case. Attach the two clips onto the
elastic loops sewn into the top of the back panel, inside

the Cubelite. Take the background and attach the clips
to the edge with the sewn in support rods. Tension the
background to remove any unwanted creases.
8. Remove the silver reflector from the blue carry case
and open it in the same way as the Cubelite. Place the
reflector inside the Cubelite against the left or right
hand side panel (with the silver side facing inwards).
9. Remove the toggle from the cords on the reflector and
thread the cords through the eyelets sewn into the top
of the side panel where the reflector has been
positioned. Then replace the toggles. Adjust the toggles

to control the angle of the reflector.
10. Rotate the three legs of the stand so that they 'fan out'
to an equal distance apart.
11. Slot the riser into the stand and tighten the thumb
screw on the base. Extend the riser by releasing the
thumb screws on the riser, extending the tube, then re-
tightening the thumb screws.
12. Take hold of the light head and attach the bulb. Do not
touch the bulb directly with your skin, this can damage
the bulb. Use a cloth or something similar to hold it.

13. Take the reflector (with grill) and attach it to the light
head. To do this align the the 3 spigots on the reflector
with the 3 corresponding locations on the light head.
Push the reflector in. Pull back the locking pin on the
light head, rotate the reflector clockwise until it stops,
then release the locking pin.
14. Attach the light head to the top of the stand/riser and
secure using the thumb screw. You must remove the
plastic protector cap from the top of the riser first.
15. Remove the tripod from its carry case and extend the

legs by releasing the black plastic catches and pulling
out the legs. Close the catches to hold the legs at the
desired height.
16. Attach the camera to the tripod.
17. Adjust the height of the light so it points directly (in a
horizontal position) into the centre of the side panel
opposite where the reflector has been attached. Your
Cubelite Travel Kit is now ready to use.
18. To clean your Cubelite use a mild detergent solution
and a cloth/sponge. Test on a small area in one corner
first.
