1. Disconnect the device from the mains power and
remove the lid.
2. Pour the remaining water out of the tank.
Proceed as shown in the illustration on the left. This
prevents water from accidentally entering the air intake
on the underside of the device.
3. Use a soft, damp cloth and a gentle cleaning agent to
clean the tank and also the outside of the device.
4. Wipe the surfaces dry with a soft cloth.
If the tank already has a build-up of lime scale, you can use
a mild descaling agent, e.g. citric acid.
1. Stir the descaling agent according to the
manufacturer's instructions.
2. Pour a small amount into the tank and allow the liquid
to take effect for a few minutes.
3. Pour away the descaling agent and rinse several times
with clear water.
Make sure that no descaling agent remains in the tank.
