INSTALLATION

•
The luminaire may only be installed by a professional electrician in accordance with applicable legislation.
•
Changing the construction of the luminaire and making any changes to cabling is prohibited.
•
The luminaire can be installed directly to the ceiling or other installation surface from the lugs at the ends of the
luminaire.
•
The luminaire can also be installed with a separately ordered installation bracket according to the requirements of
the installation location.
•

USE & MAINTENANCE
•
The luminaire may not be used without its cover glass or a PC/acrylic cover.
•
A damaged luminaire must not be used; voltage must be disconnected from it and it must be repaired.
•
Before maintenance, the luminaire must be disconnected and allowed to cool down. It takes several minutes for the
luminaire components to cool down.
•
The conditions of the installation rail, bracket and sealing surfaces should be checked regularly.
•
The product is covered by the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive 2012/19/EC (WEEE), and must be
properly recycled at the end of its service life.
CLEANING
•
The luminaire must be disconnected and allowed to cool down before cleaning. The electronic components and
connectors must not be exposed to moisture.
•
Dust should be cleaned off the exterior surfaces of the luminaire regularly. The recommended interval is 6 months or
less. This helps ensure the efficient functioning of the luminaire, optimal light output and a long service life.
•
If necessary, the exterior surfaces of the luminaire can be cleaned with neutral soap solutions (pH 7), for example
dishwashing liquids. They are also suitable for cleaning of the glass or the polycarbonate cover. Do not spray the
cleaning agent directly onto the surface of the luminaire. Dilute the cleaning agent with water, and use a cloth rag or
a sponge for cleaning.
•
Do not use a pressure washer to clean the luminaire.
•
Please note, that LED luminaires are sensitive to electrostatic discharges (ESD).

FILTER REPLACEMENT

•
In a normal industrial environment, we recommend replacing the filter every 4-5 years. Depending on conditions, if
dust accumulates on the cover glass, the filter should be replaced whenever the cover glass is cleaned.
UPGRADEABLE LED TECHNOLOGY
•
The DAVI luminaire is an updatable LED luminaire. Its LED technology package can be updated if necessary.
•
Luminaires with factory-installed cables must not be opened for purposes other than replacing the technology
package.
•
The luminaire includes sensitive electronics that must not be exposed to ESD or dirt. Make sure not to touch the LED
chips when opening the luminaire. If a LED chip gets dirty, its lumen output may decrease significantly.
