Introduction
Please read these instructions carefully before use.
Initial charging:
If the solar panel is covered with a thin protective film, remove it before using the product.
• Pull the ground-spike assembly (fig.01) outof the bottom of the product
• if you wish to use the groundspike to anchor the product in the ground, pull the spike out
of the ground-plate and re-insert it on the other side of the groundplate.
• Remove the solar puck by aligning the arrows on the solar panel and basket and then
lifting the solar panel. The basket may need to be turned upside down to allow the solar
puck to fall out.
• Remove the solar puck and remove the pull-tab from the battery compartment.
• place solar puck on top of the basket and turn clockwise to lock into place.
• re-insert the groundplate assembly in the bottom of the post.
• Place the solar light in a location where it can receive a full 8 hours of sunlight to allow the
rechargeable battery to reach maximum capacity.
Optimal location for charging:
Place the solar light fixture in an area where it can receive direct sunlight for at least 8 hours
each day. Shadowed locations will not allow the battery to charge fully and will reduce the
hours of nighttime lighting. The selected location should not be near nighttime light sources,
such as porch lights, street lights or pool lights, as these may cause the solar light to turn off
prematurely.
Use the included ground spike to securely anchor the product in place.
Battery Replacement:
NOTE : This operation should preferrably be done in the morning on a bright day.
This will allow the lantern to receive a full 8 hours of sunlight so that the rechargeable
battery can reach maximum capacity.
• Remove the solar puck by turning it counterclockwise. The Product may need to be turned
upside down to allow the solar puck to fall out.
• Remove the battery cover by unscrewing the three screws.
• Remove the old battery and replace with a new AA size 1.2V rechargeable battery of same
or greater capacity (mAh).
IMPORTANT!!! USE RECHARGEABLE NiMH BATTERIES ONLY!
Note: Clean the battery contacts (if needed) and those of the device prior to battery installa-
tion.
• Be sure to insert the battery in proper direction (+/-)
• Replace the battery cover on the solar puck and tighten the three screws.
• Replace the solar puck by turning it clockwise.
Warning:
• Safe for outdoor operation.
• Failure to insert battery in the correct polarity, as indicated in the battery compartment,
may shorten the life of the battery or cause battery to explode or leak.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
• Batteries should be recycled or disposed of as per manufacturer's recommendations.
• Remove battery if consumed or if product is to be left unused for a long period.
Care and Cleaning:
Solar panel should be cleaned periodically with damp cloth for maintaining optimum per-
formance (to remove dust and debris). Do not place in areas where children normally play, or
where they may trip and fall against the solar lantern.

Einführung
Bitte lesen Sie diese Anleitung vor Gebrauch sorgfältig durch.
Erstladung:
Wenn das Solarpanel mit einer dünnen Schutzfolie bedeckt ist, entfernen Sie diese, bevor Sie
das Produkt verwenden.
• Ziehen Sie die Erdspießbaugruppe (Abb. 01) aus dem Boden des Produkts heraus
• Wenn Sie den Erdspieß verwenden möchten, um das Produkt im Boden zu verankern,
ziehen Sie den Erdspieß aus der Grundplatte und setzen Sie ihn auf der anderen Seite der
Grundplatte wieder ein.
• Entfernen Sie den Solarpuck, indem Sie die Pfeile auf dem Solarpanel und dem Pfosten aus-
richten und dann das Solarpanel anheben. Möglicherweise muss der Pfosten umgedreht
werden, damit der Solarpuck herausfallen kann.
• Entfernen Sie den Solarpuck und entfernen Sie die Aufreißlasche aus dem Batteriefach.
• Stellen Sie den Solarpuck auf den Pfosten und drehen Sie ihn im Uhrzeigersinn, bis er
einrastet.
• Setzen Sie die Grundplattenbaugruppe wieder in die Unterseite des Pfostens ein.
• Stellen Sie das Solarlicht an einem Ort auf, an dem es volle 8 Stunden Sonnenlicht aufneh-
men kann, damit der Akku seine maximale Kapazität erreicht.
Optimaler Ort zum Aufladen:
Stellen Sie die Solarleuchte an einem Ort auf, an dem sie täglich mindestens 8 Stunden
direkter Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt ist. Durch abgeschattete Stellen kann der Akku nicht
vollständig aufgeladen werden, und die Stunden der Nachtbeleuchtung werden verkürzt.
Der ausgewählte Ort sollte nicht in der Nähe von Nachtlichtquellen wie Veranda-, Straßen-
oder Poollichtern liegen, da diese dazu führen können, dass sich das Solarlicht vorzeitig
ausschaltet.
Verwenden Sie den mitgelieferten Erdspieß, um das Produkt sicher zu verankern.
Batterieersatz:
HINWEIS: Diese Operation sollte vorzugsweise morgens an einem hellen Tag durchgeführt
werden.
Auf diese Weise kann die Laterne volle 8 Stunden Sonnenlicht empfangen, sodass der Akku
die maximale Kapazität erreichen kann.
• Entfernen Sie den Solarpuck, indem Sie ihn gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen. Das Produkt
muss möglicherweise umgedreht werden, damit der Solarpuck herausfallen kann.
• Entfernen Sie die Batterieabdeckung, indem Sie die drei Schrauben lösen.
• Entfernen Sie die alte Batterie und ersetzen Sie sie durch eine neue 1,2-V-Batterie der Größe
AA mit gleicher oder höherer Kapazität (mAh).
WICHTIG!!! NUR WIEDERAUFLADBARE NiMH-BATTERIEN VERWENDEN!
Hinweis: Reinigen Sie vor dem Einsetzen der Batterie die Batteriekontakte (falls erforderlich)
und die Kontakte des Geräts.
• Achten Sie darauf, die Batterie in die richtige Richtung (+/-) einzulegen.
• Setzen Sie die Batterieabdeckung wieder auf den Solarpuck und ziehen Sie die drei Schrau-
ben fest.
• Ersetzen Sie den Solarpuck, indem Sie ihn im Uhrzeigersinn drehen.
Warnung:
• Sicher für den Betrieb im Freien.
• Wenn die Batterie nicht in der im Batteriefach angegebenen Polarität eingelegt wird, kann
dies die Lebensdauer der Batterie verkürzen oder dazu führen, dass die Batterie explodiert
oder ausläuft.
• Batterien nicht ins Feuer werfen.
• Batterien sollten gemäß den Empfehlungen des Herstellers recycelt oder entsorgt werden.
• Entfernen Sie den Akku, wenn er verbraucht ist oder wenn das Produkt längere Zeit nicht
verwendet wird.
Pflege und Reinigung:
Das Solarmodul sollte regelmäßig mit einem feuchten Tuch gereinigt werden, um eine opti-
male Leistung zu erzielen (um Staub und Schmutz zu entfernen). Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht
an Orten auf, an denen Kinder normalerweise spielen oder an denen sie stolpern und gegen
die Solarlaterne fallen können.
