1. Operating functions
- The green power LED illuminates when the device is supplied with rmains power. The
shining LED is visible through the vision panel in the lid.
- The display shows the programming mode "P" at remote power on.
Without key operation, the device reaches after 5 sec the standby mode (Display off).
- Activate the programming mode "P" by pressing a button. By pressing the SET button
the display toggles through the menu items AF, EF, SF, Ar and Er.
AF (Attenuation Forward): by pressing the UP / DOWN buttons the attenuation of the
Downstream Signal can be varied between 0 ... 20 dB in 1dB steps.
EF (Equalizer Forward): by pressing the UP / DOWN the cable frequency response for
the Downstream-Signal can be compensated between 0 ... 20 dB in 1dB steps.
SF (Slope Forward): by pressing the UP / DOWN the interstage preemphasis of the
Downstream-Signal can be varied between 6 dB (UP-button) and 0 dB (DOWN-button).
Ar (Attenuation return): by pressing the UP / DOWN buttons the attenuation of the
Upstream-Signal can be varied between 0 ... 20 dB in 1dB steps.
Er (Equalizer return): by pressing the UP / DOWN the cable frequency response of the
Upstream-Signal can be compensated between 0 ... 20 dB in 1dB steps.
After 20 sec without pressing any button inside the menu items, the device reaches the
standby mode (Display off).
- Factory settings and settings after reset
(= button SET+UP pressed simultaneously for 3 seconds):
