Protection capacity against toxic substances
The POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 escape respirator, has been certified by Italcert - Viale
Sarca, 336 - 20126 Milan - Italy - (Notified Body n. 0426) in compliance with DIN
58647-7 Norm, and resulted to be a 15 minute class device, therefore granting, in
test condition specified in the Norm, filter duration higher than minimum shown
in the following table:

The respirator POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 "Ex" conforms to ATEX Directive 94/9/EC and
relevant harmonized standards. The Notified Body EUROFINS TECH s.r.l. n. 0477
(Via Cuorgné, 21 - 10156 Turin - Italy) issued the certificate, authorized the CE
marking and carries out controls on production according to Article 10 par. 1 of
the European Directive 94/9/EC.

Notes/Restrictions
•
POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 is a single use self rescue respirator. After use and/or
after expiry date it must be disposed of or sent to D.P.I. s.r.l. or to a D.P.I. s.r.l.
authorized centre for reconditioning. It cannot be used anymore without
undergoing reconditioning.
•
In oxygen enriched atmosphere or in potentially explosive atmospheres use
the ATEX version of the device.
•
POLIBITZ ABEK 15 can only be used if the oxygen concentration in the atmo-
sphere is at least 17% in volume.
•
POLIBITZ ABEK 15 does not protect against carbon monoxide (CO).
•
POLIBITZ ABEK 15 gives a lower level of protection against low-boiling orga-
nic vapours than against high-boiling organic vapours.
•
The protection against high concentrations of toxic substances is limited.
The protection within the limits indicated in the above table is assured for
15 minutes. If the risk analysis identifies more dangerous conditions, the
protection offered by POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 is insufficient. In that case the use
of a self-contained breathing apparatus is needed.
