3. How to take a measurement
3.1 Setting Zero
3.1.1 Before measuring ensure that the scriber tip is clean and free of burrs
3.1.2 Loosen locking lever.
3.1.3 Rotate the measuring hand wheel until the scriber makes contact with the refer-
ence face
3.1.4 Turn the dial bezel to the "0" position.
3.1.5 Depress the two zero setting buttons of the counters to bring the counters to "0"
3.2 The height gauge is now ready to take the measurement or mark out
3.3 Method of Reading
3.3.1 The counters on the slider are in millimeters and the dial reads in .0.01mm To take
a measurement a combination of the counter and the dial is used.
3.32 When a measurement is taken down from a reference point, the bottom counter
can be set to zero and a combination of the bottom counter and the dial used to display
the reading. When recording up from a reference point the top counter is used with the
dial to display the reading..
3.3.9 Comparison Measurement: When using the Measumax 35-209 for quality assurance checking many compo-
nents the dial bezel is to set the''0'" position, then measurements are taken against the workpieces and readings
taken directly off the dial.
4.. Caution
4.1 Keep the instrument clean and oiled to prevent rust. Avoid heavy knocks that might reduce the precision capabili-
ty of the instrument
4.2 Make sure that the scribing frame is clear of the base when the height gauge is moved down to the reference
point, Make sure that the locking lever is in the unlock position before the measuring hand wheel is used.
4.3 When not in use make sure that there is a gape between the scriber point and plate or table, that the base sits on
Before storing clean with a soft cloth and lightly lubricate.

The Measumax height gauge reads with dual directional
counters in combination with a dial.The dual directional
counters can be set to zero and at any desired height by
depressing the zero set button.
The Measumax dual column height gauge is used to meas-
ure the distance between two parallel planes. It can be
combined with a lever dial test indicator to measure the
heights of objects.
