RHYTHM „Magic Motion" – Ref. 7886
OPERATION MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing a RHYTHM product. Besides telling time,
RHTYHM Magic Motion Clocks will fascinate you as it plays beautiful
melodies and motions.
To enjoy its full function, please read this operation manual carefully
and keep it for your future reference.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE USING THIS CLOCK:
1.
Make sure to hang the clock very firmly to the wall.
a)
Please use a hanging hook or screw which must be
suitable for the specific type of the wall material to
be firmly secured into the wall.
b)
When hanging the clock, make a double-check that
it is securely hooked in place.
2.
Do not disassemble the clock, which may cause the
damage to its quality.
3.
Do not use or place the clock in the following place to
work properly and to prevent from the damage.
a)
In a place with extremely high temperature or
humidity.
b)
In a place with extremely low temperature.
c)
Nearby strong vibration.
d)
In a strong magnetic place.
e)
In a dusty place.
4.
Do not use paint thinner or other chemical materials to
clean the clock case.
Neuter soap or cleanser as cleaning liquid is
recommendable.
5.
Change the batteries once a year.
a)
Exhausted batteries may leak the liquid and
damage the clock.
b)
Use batteries from a reliable battery maker.
c)
Change all batteries at the same time.
*For models with "ALKALINE" marking in the battery
compartment, alkaline batteries are preferred. Batteries included
in the box are manganese batteries and the battery life is
approximately 50% shorter than that of alkaline battery.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1.
Please confirm the model number of the product you
purchased, which is indicated in lower position on the
back of the clock.
2.
Unpack and remove all packing materials carefully.
*Some particular models have packing materials to
be inserted into the back of the clock to protect
moving parts during transportation.
3.
Open the battery cover(s) on the back of the clock.
4.
Insert batteries in correct position into the battery holder.
5.
Push the reset button located either on the back or the
side of the clock.
6.
Turn the hand setting knob on the back of the clock to set
the time.
7.
Close the battery cover(s).
8.
To activate the hourly melody and motion, slide the
ON/OFF switch located either on the back or the side of
the clock to "ON" position.
a)
One melody plays at the top of the hour, and
multiple melodies automatically change one after
another every hour.
b)
The melody may not activate properly when the
clock reaches the first hour position after the time is
set or the reset button is pressed. This is not defect
and the clock will activate properly from the next
hour onwards.
9.
To inactivate the hourly melody and motion, slide the
ON/OFF switch located either on the back or the side of
the clock to "OFF" position.
10.
To adjust volume of the melody sound, turn the VOLUME
control knob located either on the back or the side of the
clock while the melody is playing.
11.
To demonstrate the melody and motion, simply press the
MONITOR button located either on the side of the clock
or at the lower front of the clock.
a)
You can enjoy by yourself or show other people
playing the melody and motion at any time you
want, just pressing the MONITOR button.
b)
This function always works regardless the ON/OFF
switch position.
12.
Hang the clock firmly, straight and vertically.
AUTOMATIC NIGHT SHUT-OFF:
This clock is equipped with a light sensor. It detects the light and make
the function of melody and motion activate. On the contrary, it won't
activate the melody and motion in the darkness. Therefore the melody
and motion will be automatically shut off in the night when it gets dark.
Since the light sensor operates by the brightness (amount of the light) of
the place where it is set, it might happen that the clock does not play the
melody and motion in the dim place.
