Multiple Water Baths
The lower hose connection is the overflow of the water level regulator. Please use a
laboratory hose (interior diameter max 9 mm) to lead overflowing water into a drain on a
lower level. Please make sure that the water flows off freely without danger of backdraughts.
All hose connections must be secured with hose clamps.
The desired water level can be adjusted by the outlet tube of the level regulator. For this
purpose please loosen the outlet tube screwing with a spanner GW 27. The water level can
now be set by pulling out or pushing in the tube. Tighten screwing again. Now carefully open
water tap and fill Water Bath with water.
The maximum water level is 20 mm below the upper rim of the housing.
5. Support rods and sets of rings
Fasten the support rods that are to be placed in the openings in the rear rim of the bath by
turning them clockwise.
The plastic sets of rings are used to cover those openings that are not required.

6. Installation

Switch on main switch. The green pilot lamp in the main switch will glow.

7. Temperature Regulation

The temperature is controlled by an electromechanical temperature regulator and can be set
via the turning knob on the front of the unit.
After the desired temperature is set, power to the heating element is switched on and the
yellow pilot lamp above the temperature regulator will glow.
CAUTION:
Hot surfaces when temperatures rise
above 60°C.
Do not touch!
Danger of burns!
8. Low water cut-off
The Multiple Water Bath is protected against destruction by running dry by a low water cut-
off (thermostatical over-temperature cut-out).
In case of water shortage, power is cut.
Before restarting the unit, please fill bath with water – as described in article 4 Filling water
into the bath – and unlock low water cut-off.
The unlocking device is situated at the front of the unit, at the right hand side of the
temperature regulator. To unlock, unscrew the black cap nut. Within the screwing, you will
see a white plastic pin, which has to be gently pressed (eg with a pen) until a clicking noise
can be heard.
