The entire team at Oxygen Audio congratulates you on your purchase and thanks you for your confidence. You are in
possession of a piece of quality and high technology equipment.
In order to get the best from the equipment, to master its capabilities and to avoid any possible risks, we recommend
that you read this manual carefully before carrying out any operations.
Your loud-speakers must be solidly mounted to a rigid support with an installation diameter equal to that of your product, so that it fits perfectly.
Pay particular attention to the fact that nothing must hinder the movements of the membrane, nor the front part, nor the rear part of the loud-
speaker.
A loud-speaker is designed to operate with an alternative signal (sinusoidal), and as such, positive oscillations (fig. A) push the membrane forward and
negative oscillations (fig. B) pull it back. See the diagrams below to understand how this works:
A break in this alternative signal (fig. C), would destroy the coil receiving the electricity in the heart of the loud-speaker. As it can no longer generate
a magnetic field (using alternating current), it receives a direct current which burns it. In the same way if you connect the "+" and the "-" of a
battery with a 16mm² cable, the cable burns. Burned-out coils are therefore excluded from the terms of the warranties. Contrary to popular belief,
when a loud-speaker receives too much power, the coil cuts out like a fuse. The only way to burn it out is to generate a direct current. This direct
current is usually generated by end-of-power arrival from the amplifier connected (incorrect setting, incorrect power, incorrect cabling or just too low
power of the amplifier).
