1. Introduction & Features
Thank you for buying the CARDVDM! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service.
If the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
The main features of the CARDVDM are:
• high reliability PLL synthesized tuning system
• 2 carrier frequencies
• well isolated from nonessential frequencies
• compact and light – can be placed behind the radio inside the dashboard
2. Safety Instructions
• Damage caused by user modifications or disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the
warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
• Install the device where it is protected against extreme heat, dust and moisture.
• Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed the voltage stated in the specifications (12Vdc/30mA).
• The CARDVDM is fully transistorized and does not contain parts that can be repaired by the user. Do not open the
housing to avoid exposure to dangerous voltage. Servicing must be done by qualified personnel only.
3. Installation
Install the CARDVDM as described and shown below:
1. Connect the ground (#1) and 12V (#2) wires to your car battery.
2. Connect the audio outputs of the audio source (in this case: a DVD player) to the audio inputs of the CARDVDM.
3. Connect the car antenna (CAR ANT) input jack to the
car antenna and the radio antenna (RADIO ANT)
output jack to the antenna input jack of the car stereo.
4. Select the carrier frequency on the CARDVDM as
applicable for your car stereo system (88.3 / 88.7 MHz).
5. Install the device in a safe place inside your dashboard.
6. Make sure the device is switched off (#3) when you're
not using it.
