Remove the packing bar from the thermostat sheath on the fluidised bath, see the booklet for the bath. It is held in with a nut and olive, a new olive is supplied with the TC-8D. Fit the new olive, as appropriate, to the thermocouple and push the thermocouple fully into the thermostat sheath. -
