and use
Before using for the first time and
grilling:
1. Remove all packaging material from
the unit.
2. Clean the grill grate and pan in
warm rinsing water and dry thoroughly.
3. Install the appliance as described
above and fill with water.
4. Plug the mains plug into a socket
with earthing contact which cor-
responds to the information on the
appliance.
5. Heat the appliance for approx. 5

minutes without barbecue food and
allow it to smoke slightly. This is harm-
less. Nevertheless, ensure sufficient
ventilation by opening a window.
6. The grill is now ready for operation
and can be used.
to prevent a possible build-up of
heat and subsequent damage to the
appliance, the food to be cooked
must be placed directly onto the grill
rack. Do not place any objects (e.g.
aluminium foil, barbecue plates or
other items) between the food and the
heating element.

NOTE!
CAUTION:
• Observe the water level while grilling.
Water should be added in good time,
while ensuring that it does not come
into contact with the heating element.
Caution: Disconnect the grill from the
mains before adding water.
10 . Cleaning
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
There is a risk of electric shock due to
current-carrying parts.
• Pull out the power plug completely
before cleaning.
• Do not immerse the appliance in
water or other liquids.
• If the appliance falls in the liquid, do
not grab it in any circumstances. Pull
out the power plug first.
CAUTION!
Hot surfaces!
There is a risk of burning due to hot
surfaces.
• Let the appliance cool down for
at least 60 minutes before cleaning.
Remove the deep-frying basket so that
the appliance can cool down quickly.

damages!
There is possible appliance damage
due to improper use.
