1. Introduction & Features

Thank you for buying the CFR1/CFR1R! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If
the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer. The CFR1/CFR1R uses a
thermoelectric solid state heat pump, which means: no compressor, no Freon.

2. Operation

The CFR1/CFR1R can both heat and cool (not both at the same time, of course), selectable by means of a switch at
the right side of the device (a red LED lights up for warming, green one for cooling). It operates on 230Vac or 12-
14Vdc.
a. Power connection
DC power: on the right side of the device, set the function switch to STOP and the power switch to 'DC', connect the
DC power line to the DC input on the CFR1/CFR1R and insert the other end in the cigarette lighter socket of the
vehicle.
AC power: on the right side of the device, set the function switch to STOP and the power switch to 'AC', connect the
AC power line to the AC input on the CFR1/CFR1R and insert the other end in the mains socket or AC power source.
b. Cooling
The best results are achieved when the cooling box is filled with food and beverages that are already refrigerated.
They will stay cool and may even become cooler still provided the device remains switched on.
c. Warming
The CFR1/CFR1R is designed to keep warm food warm and not to warm up cold food. It will of course warm up cold
food when the food remains in an operating CFR1/CFR1R for a sufficient amount of time. Hot meals will stay hot for
a while after the device has been switched off, provided the lid remains properly closed.
3. Ventilation
As is the case with every fridge, your CFR1/CFR1R must be very well ventilated to ensure proper functioning. Protect
it from direct sunlight, never interfere with the ventilation air flow and do not use it in a room that is not ventilated.

4. Cleaning and Maintenance

Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
Do not use the CFR1/CFR1R in the rain or any very humid environment.
If the CFR1/CFR1R is not going to be used for a lengthy period of time, let it dry out completely before storing it.
