HOT-AIR GUN
WARNING
Read this manual carefully before using the
machine, for your own safety.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using the machine, always observe the
enclosed safety instructions as well as the additional
safety instructions.
The following symbols are used throughout
this manual:
Denotes risk of personal injury
or damage to the tool.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR HOT-AIR
GUNS

Beware: this hot-air gun works at temperatures
between 300-500 °C without any visible sign of this
temperature.
n
Beware of the hot-air flow: it can cause burns.
n
Avoid touching the mouthpiece while the machine
is in operation: because of the heat the mouthpiece
can cause burns.
n
Fire can start if the machine is not used with care.
n
Do not use the machine too long in one place.
n
Be careful in areas with flammable materials in the
vicinity. Remember that heat can be carried over to
flammable materials which are not in sight.
n
Never use the machine in explosive areas.
n
Never use the machine under damp conditions.
n
Do not use the machine as a hairdryer.
n
Never aim the hot-air flow at yourself or
others to dry clothing or footwear.
Never aim the hot-air stream at electrical wiring or
power outlets because of risk of electric shock.
n
Never block the air supply: otherwise the
machine will burn out.
n
Do not leave the machine unattended while
switched on.
n
Place the machine on a stand after use and have
the machine cool down before storing it.
n
Do not leave or store the machine outside.
n
Hot-air guns must not be used by children or
untrained persons.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Always check that the power supply corresponds to
the voltage on the rating plate.
DESCRIPTION
Your hot-air gun has been designed for the
following operations:
- removing paint and paint residues from wood,
metal and synthetics;

- removing self-adhesive labels;
- applying PVC labels;
- moulding low-temperature materials,
including acrylics and perspex.
- melting together synthetics, including
materials and foils with a PVC layer;
- shrinktubing;
- heating pipe attachments and bowing pipes;
- reparing skis, surf boards and similar
sporting equipment.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Aim the mouthpiece of the machine at
the workpiece.
n
Heat the material a few seconds before
working it.
n
For optimum result it is recommended to
test the machine first on a small part of
the workpiece.
SWITCHING ON AND OFF
The machine can be switched on to two different
temperature settings.
n
To switch the machine on to the low setting, set
the on/off switch (1) to 'I'.
n
To switch the machine on to the high setting, set
the on/off switch to 'II'.
n
To switch the machine off, set the on/off switch to
'0'.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The machine does not require any special
maintenance.

Regularly clean the ventilation slots.
