INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Sawing
Check that the saw is correctly set up and that all
handles and bolts are correctly tightened before
starting to saw.
Place the shoulder strap (5) around your shoulders
and adjust, until the saw hangs comfortably at a
good working position. Hold the saw with both
hands by the handles (3 and 4). Raise up to
working area.
Push the safety switch (11) forward and press the
on/off button (12). The saw will now start.
Begin sawing when the chain has reached full
speed.
Thin branches can be sawn with one cut. To
prevent shredding and breaking, cut branches in
several sections.
When sawing thicker branches, cut the underside
first to prevent it breaking off, and then the upper
side. Continue until your final cut is closest to the
trunk.
It may be necessary to seal the raw stump to
prevent sap seepage.
Release the on/off button immediately if the blade
gets stuck in a branch.
When in use, the saw can generate a little smoke.
This is normal and does not mean there is a defect.
A full oil tank is sufficient for approx. 1 hour.
ENGLISH
Replacing the chain
Slacken the chain tension screw until the chain
hangs loose from the blade.
Slacken the screw (6) and retaining bolt (7),
remove the black plastic guard and remove the
chain and blade.
Take the chain off the blade, clean the blade,
plastic guard and motor housing thoroughly with
compressed air or a brush. Take special care to
clean the oil feed to the blade.
Check for blade wear and replace if necessary.
Note! Do not dispose of used chains in your
domestic refuse. Dispose of them correctly in
accordance with local legislation.
Fit the new chain onto the blade. Check that the
teeth face the correct direction. The arrows on the
chain must point in the same direction as those on
the motor housing.
Place the chain over the sprocket (14), and fit the
blade. Check that the chain tensioner (15) fits into
its hole on the blade.
Replace the plastic guard, tighten the chain and
lubricate thoroughly. Switch the saw on and let it
run for a few seconds. Check chain tension and
tighten if necessary.
Every other time the chain is replaced, the
sprocket must be replaced as well. Remove the
lock ring from the spindle and remove the
sprocket and clamp washers. Fit a new sprocket
and secure the lock ring.
Storage
Empty the oil tank (10) and oil feed ducts before
storing for extended periods.
Pour a spoonful of mineral oil into the oil tank.
Lubricate the chain with a light oil and run the
saw for a moment, to spread the mineral oil over
the chain.
Lubricate the chain thoroughly before using the
saw again.
