Differential pressure switch for air and neutral
gases
DTV...X is a differential pressure switch for supervising air handling
units, fans, fi lters or to control defrosting functions.

Installation
Mount the pressure transmitter close to the application to be monitored.
An optional mounting bracket can be used, if desired (see below). Select
suitable holes and fasten the bottom plate on the wall or in a connection
box, so that the arrows on the bottom plate point upwards.
The vertical mounting position, as shown in the leftmost illustration, is the
recommended one. If the pressure switch is mounted with its lid facing up,
as in the middle picture, the change-over point will be 11 Pa higher than
the setpoint. Conversely, mounting the switch with the lid facing down will
instead lower the setpoint by 11 Pa.
Function
The pressure connected to the high pressure point inlet (P1) is compared
to the low pressure connected to P2. When the differential pressure
exceeds the setpoint value, the contact will close or open.
When the pressure switch is used to supervise a fan, it is possible to
leave the P2 pressure connection (for atmospheric pressure) discon-
nected.

Setpoint value and setting
The setpoint value is set using a knob under the lid, with the setpoint
value visible through the lid. The lid is secured with a single screw to
facilitate mounting and service.
The device hysteresis is pre-set upon delivery.
NOTE: Do not turn the setting knob to the area marked in black!
