Technical advice for the SAT Universal Relays
SUR 211 F, SUR 211 WSG, SUR 420 F and SUR 420 WSG
General information:
All F-Types are for indoor installation only. The WSG-types with outdoor case are for wall or mast mounting.
All SUR relays are suitable for both the SAT-IF frequency range and terrestrial frequency range.
SPAUN electronic confirms the keeping of the EMC requirements in accordance
to the EU product norm EN 50083-2 and the keeping of the safety requirements
in accordance to the EU product norm EN 60728-11 by the CE sign.
The relays meet the more stringent screening requirements according to
EN 50083-2, quality grade A.
Electrical and electronic equipment are not household waste - in accordance with
the European directive EN 50419 (corresponds to the article 11(2) of the guideline
2002/96/EC) of the European Parliament and the Council of January, 27th 2003 on
used electrical and electronic equipment, it should be disposed properly.
Please, on the end of its life cycle, take this unit and dispose it on designated public
collection points.
The relays support DiSEqC level 2.1 Bi-directional communication between
receiver and relay is possible. DiSEqC Address: 14 Hex.
SUR 211 F / SUR 211 WSG:
•
Relay with two RF inputs and one RF output.
With the rotary switch three modes are selectable.
1. The relay reacts to the DiSEqC control signal "Uncommitted Switch 1" which is available from
DiSEqC 1.1 and up. The relay can be used to connect two groups of 16 SAT-IF levels or two
groups of 4 orbital positions together.
2. The relay reacts to the DiSEqC command "Position" or the equivalent analogue ToneBurst.
3. The relay reacts to the DiSEqC command "Option" (no equivalent analogue control signal).
IMPORTANT:
The receiver must offer the possibility to edit the DiSEqC 1.1 control signals in its
setup. Remote voltage, DiSEqC signals and the 22 kHz tone are looped through to
the selected RF path.
•
SUR 420 F / SUR 420 WSG:
Relay with four RF inputs and one RF output.
The relay reacts to the 4 uncommitted switches that are available from DiSEqC 1.1 and up.
The relay can be used to build up a relay cascade for up to 256 SAT-IF levels or 64 orbital positions.
Three control modes are selectable:
Mode 1: The DiSEqC control signal "uncommitted switch 2" is used to select one of the two input
groups 1/2 or 3/4.
The DiSEqC control signal "uncommitted switch 1" is used to select one of the single inputs
within the input group.
Mode 2: The DiSEqC control signal "uncommitted switch 3" is used to select one of the two input
groups 1/2 or 3/4.
The DiSEqC control signal "uncommitted switch 2" is used to select one of the single inputs
within the input group.
Mode 3: The DiSEqC control signal "uncommitted switch 4" is used to select one of the two input
groups 1/2 or 3/4.
The DiSEqC control signal "uncommitted switch 3" is used to select one of the single inputs
within the input group.
IMPORTANT:
The receiver must offer the possibility to edit the DiSEqC 1.1 control signals in its setup.
Remote voltage, DiSEqC signals and the 22 kHz tone are looped through to the selected
RF path.
Specifications and design are subject to change due to our policy of continual technical improvement.
