Any electrical work on existing electrical installations must be performed by a competent person in
compliance with current wiring regulations. New electrical installations should only be performed by
an authorised electrician.
Description
•
The inline dimmer switch is can be used to adjust the brightness of incandescent or
halogen light sources with a total wattage of 40–160 W and a voltage of 230 V/50 Hz.
•
The brightness is adjusted using the coloured dial. The dial has a built-in LED lamp
so it is visible in the dark.
•
Current still flows through the switch even when the control dial is set to minimum.
Built-in fuse
If the fuse blows, switch off the power
and replace the fuse (3) with a new
one of the same type
(F 800 mA, 250 V).
Installation
Warning! Unplug the cable before
installing the dimmer switch.
Class II light fittings require
a 2 × 0.75 mm² cable.
1.
Carefully prize open the casing
using a screwdriver (fig. 1).
2.
Place the circuit board into
the lower half of the casing
(it only fits one way).
3.
Cut the cable.
4.
Strip 5 mm of the wires and
connect them to the terminals.
Connect the cable from the lamp
to (2) and the cable from the plug
to (4). Tighten the screws (fig. 2).
5.
Tighten the strain reliefs (1) over
the ends of the cables.
