The green monitoring LED must be on, 30 minutes after start-up at the latest.
Tests
Self-contained safety luminaires are to be tested at their mounting location in compliance with the
regulations. Any defects have to be repaired immediately. Test results need to be documented in the test log.
Luminaires with automatic self-test
All luminaires of these series are assembled with an automatic self-test system, testing the luminaires
independently. Weekly tested are the electronic system,the lamp and the battery. Additionally, every year the
battery capacity is measured by simulating a mains power failure. The first capacity test is performed 8 days
after installtion or fault repair. The load control (LED) must be checked after the first
self-test, shown on the luminaire as described hereafter:

Luminaires in combination with PZ50
Luminaires with automatic self-test (suffix .03) have a standart bus-connector, the ST bus. When a loop
circuit is laid out (max.400m), up to 50 safety luminaires can be monitored by the optional Pz50 monitoring
centre. The entire operabiltiy of the system is being checked and displayed centrally. More detailed
information is provided in the description of the PZ50.
Luminaires for Monitoring Systems MULTIDIGIT, MWEB plus (.04) and S63
These luminaires (suffix .04) are assembled with a connecting terminal and are addressed with serial
numbers (factory-made). The number is indicated on the luminaire. Already addressed safety
luminaires must be replaced only by safety luminaires with the same number.
Additional documentations are available upon request; For planning, installation, commissioning and usage
of monitoring systems MULTIDIGIT , MWEB plus and S63.
Monitoring systems PZ50 cannot be integrated in the monitoring system s MULTIDIGIT or MWEB plus.
LED off, LED is not lit: No mains connection or
the emergency electronic gear is damaged.
LED red, blinking: The lamp is damaged.
The alarm is reset approximately 1 minute after
the fault is repaired.
LED red, continuous light: The capacity of the
battery is low or the battery connector is
interrupted. The alarm is reset immediately after
the fault is repaired.
LED green, continuous light: No fault

The emergency luminaires are delivered with either discharged or
only partially charged batteries and need to be connected for at
least 24 hours before reaching their full operability.

Die Form der Kennzeichnung ist wie folgt, als Beispiel dargestellt.
Feld 1: Bauart, Feld 2: Betriebsart, Feld 3: Einrichtungen wie Selbstttest u.s.w.
Feld 4: Betriebsdauer
Die von uns gelieferten Einzelbatterieleuchten in Dauerschaltung sind
auch für den Betrieb in Bereitschaftsschaltung geeignet. Wollen Sie
die Leuchten in Bereitschaftsschaltung betreiben, muß der Eintrag in
Feld 2 geändert werden. Bitte kennzeichnen Sie dann 1-lampige
Leuchten mit 0 anstatt der 1und mehrlampige Leuchten mit 2 anstatt der 3.

"3" to "2" for liminaires equipped with more than one lamp.
