IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS


Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.

Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the rating plate of the appliance.

Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use or under voltage. Keep out of reach of
children or incompetent persons.

Connect your appliance only to a wall earthed socket.

Check the cord for damages regularly. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance show any
signs of damage (particularly if the lid closes bad or doesn't close at all).

Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.

Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place
it into the dishwasher.

Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.

Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician

Before cleaning or filling your appliance, always unplug it from the power supply.

All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician

Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.

Never use accessories which are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a
danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.

Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way.
For the storage, wind the cord around the therefore forseen housing in the base of the appliance.

It is highly recommended not to use an extension cable in order to connect the appliance to wall
socket because longer the cable is, higher the risks of a fall during the use will be.

Make sure to stand the appliance and/or its base on a flat surface.

Only use fresh (potable) and cold (moderate) water. Do not use water contained in bathtubs,
washbasins or other recipients.

Always fill between the minimum and maximum marks inside the water tank. The water must
never be below the minimum mark or the heating element might be damaged. Never overfill the
tank over the maximum mark, because if you have overfilled the appliance, hot water might
escape.

When using, make sure the lid is closed correctly. Never raise the lid when the jug kettle is in use
and when there are risks of hot water projection due to the bubbling.

Do not touch the hot parts of the appliance. Always use the handle.

Be careful not to get burned by the hot steam that evaporates when the water is boiling and
especially when you open the lid.

Always let the appliance cool down before cleaning or filling it again.

UK STYLE PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (IN THE UK ONLY)
This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp plug is
used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour coded:
blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black.
