Optical to Electrical Repeater TOE 02
This guide assumes that:
• The installation is carried out by a competent person.
A site survey had been completed; the location for dish has been chosen and
•
the dish has been installed.
• The location for the repeater has been selected.
Opto-LNB TOL 32 or 64 or Opto-IRS transmitter Kit TOU 232 has been installed.
•
The passive optical network (PON) has been planned and installed correctly;
•
using TRIAX approved optical couplers and cables.
The installer has to follow the installation guide of the Opto-LNB TOL and Opto-
•
Transmitter TOU 232.
It is recommended to install the repeater in a dry environment. If an outdoor installation
is necessary all fibre and coaxial connectors have to be water proofed e.g. gel boot and
amalgamating tape.
All ferrule end faces of the FC/PC optical connectors are cleaned prior to making a
connection using a suitable fibre optic cleaning kit.
Attention:
Never look with the eyes into a fibre line or fibre connector when an optical transmitter is
connected! The laser light is not visible but could damage the eye.
