De noodvoedingsunit is geschikt voor decentrale, maintained noodverlichting voor compacte fluorescentielampen.
De unit is ontworpen volgens de Europese norm EN 60 598-2-22.
De noodvoedingsunit bestaat uit een aansluitklemmenblok, omvormer en een batterijpakket.
De units kunnen worden aangesloten op de Giotto's die voorbereid zijn voor noodverlichting (zie "Installatie"). De unit wordt
geleverd met een LED-indicator en een 0,5 m lange aansluitkabel, inclusief stekker. Als de LED-indicator brandt, worden de
batterijen geladen. De netaansluiting van zowel unit als armatuur bevindt zich in de noodvoedingsunit.

Veiligheid
Sluit de stroom af vóór installatie, onderhoud en verwisselen van de unit(s). Het produkt mag niet worden gewijzigd; iedere wijzi-
ging ontkracht de veiligheids- en keurmerken en kan het produkt onveilig maken. Wij nemen geen verantwoording voor gewijzig-
de produkten.
De unit kan onder spanning staan, zelfs als de netspanning uitgeschakeld is. Neem bij inspectie of bij lampvervanging de verbin-
ding tussen het batterijpakket en de omvormer los om het gevaar van elektrische schok te vermijden. Controleer na inspectie of
lampvervanging en na aansluiting van het batterijpakket of de LED-indicator bij het inschakelen van de netspanning brandt.
Na de gegarandeerde technische levensduur (4 jaar) van het batterijpakket adviseren wij u het batterijpakket te verwisselen. Voer
het oude batterijpakket volgens de normen af. Plaatselijke voorschriften kunnen vereisen dat het batterijpakket eerder vervangen
wordt. Indien de batterijen geheel ontladen zijn, kan een laad-/ontlaadcyclus nodig zijn voordat het batterijpakket de benodigde
capaciteit heeft.
Installatie
Controleer of u de juiste noodvoedingsunit voor het gewenste type armatuur heeft.

Neem bij installatie steeds de minimale inbouwmaten in acht (fig.1). De armatuur en de noodvoedingsunit mogen niet worden
afgedekt (fig. 1).
De unit is geschikt voor aansluiting met flexibele kabels of installatiekabel van max. 2,5 mm
De unit is geschikt voor doorlussen.
De juiste lampen voor deze armaturen hebben een 4-pinslampvoet. Gebruik voor deze uitvoeringen de volgende lampen:
lamp 16 Watt: TC-DD 16W GR10q
lamp 28 Watt: TC-DD 28W GR10q
lamp 38 Watt: TC-DD 38W GR10q
Monteer de armatuur volgens de meegeleverde handleiding.
Plaats de LED-indicator in de uitsparing van de transparante houder aan de buitenkant van de armatuur (fig.2).
Aansluiting: noodvoedingsunit aan netspanning (fig. 3)
Hierbij kan worden gekozen uit de volgende opties:
a. Non-maintained, armatuur uit.
De armatuur brandt normaal niet, bij uitval van de netspanning brandt de armatuur in noodbedrijf.
b. Maintained, armatuur aan.
De armatuur brandt normaal altijd, bij uitval van de netspanning brandt de armatuur in noodbedrijf.
c. Maintained armatuur.
De armatuur wordt normaal aan- en uitgeschakeld; bij uitval van de netspanning brandt de armatuur in noodbedrijf.
Controleer na aansluiting van het batterijpakket of de LED-indicator brandt bij inschakelen van de netspanning.
Onderhoud en inspectie
Wij adviseren om een logboek met de onderhoudsgegevens bij te houden.
1. Dagelijks
-Controleer of alle lampen in het systeem werken.
-Controleer of de LED-indicator brandt.
-Controleer of de storingen die in het logboek werden genoteerd, zijn verholpen.
2. Maandelijks
-Simulatie netuitval. De test mag niet langer dan 3 kwartier duren.
-Terug in normaal bedrijf, controleer of de LED-indicator brandt.
3. Iedere 6 maanden
-Simuleer een netuitval gedurende 1 uur en controleer of de lampen in noodbedrijf branden.
-Terug in normaal bedrijf, controleer of de LED-indicator brandt.
4. Na 3 jaar
-Simuleer een netuitval gedurende 3 uur en controleer of de lampen in noodbedrijf branden.
-Terug in normaal bedrijf, controleer of de LED-indicator brandt.
Bij niet vervangen van het batterijpakket na 3 jaar adviseren wij om de jaarlijkse test onder 4 uit te voeren.
Let op:na een test is niet direct de gespecificeerde brandtijd in noodbedrijf beschikbaar.

The emergency power supply unit is suitable for decentral, maintained emergency lighting for compact fluorescent lamps. The unit is
designed according to the European Standard EN 60 598-2-22.
The emergency power supply unit consists of a terminal block, an inverter, a battery pack. The unit can be connected to Giottos which
have been prepared for emergency lighting (see "installation"). The unit is supplied with a LED-indicator and a 0.5 m long connection
cable, with plug. When the LED-indicator lights, the batteries are being charged. The mains connections of unit and luminaire are situated
in the emergency power supply unit.

The following symbols may be found:
Class I, this fitting must be earthed. (Some countries allow connections of class I luminaires as class 0 lumunaires,
in which case this may not apply).

Safety
Disconnect mains supply before installation, maintenance or replacement of the unit(s). The product must not be modified. Any modifica-
tion will negate the safety mark/approvals and may render the product unsafe. We accept no responsibility for modified products.
The unit can still be live, even after the mains has been switched off. Before checking or changing lamps, loosen the connection between
the battery pack and the inverter to prevent electric shock. Check that the LED-indicator lights when switching on the mains after checking
or changing and after connecting the battery pack.
After the guaranteed technical life (4 years) of the battery pack it is recommended to change the battery pack. Dispose of the old pack
according to the standards in force. Local regulations may require an earlier battery change. When the batteries are completely discharged
a charge/decharge cycle may be necessary to restore the battery pack capacity.
Installation
Check whether you have received the correct emergency power supply unit for the type of luminaire you have in mind.

Pay attention to the minimum recess depths (fig. 1). The luminaire and the emergency power supply unit must not be covered (fig. 1).
The unit is suitable for connection by means of a flexible cable or installation cable with a section of max. 2.5 mm

The correct lamps for these luminaires have a 4 pin lamp holder. Use the following lamps for these versions:

Mount the luminaire according to the manual.
Press the LED-indicator in the recess of the transparent holder which is positioned on the outside of the luminaire (fig. 2).
Connecting: emergency power supply unit to the mains (fig. 3)
One of the following options can be selected:
a. Non-maintained, luminaire off.
Normally the luminaire is off; in case of a power breakdown the luminaire is in emergency operation).
b. Maintained, luminaire on.
Normally the luminaire is lit; in case of a breakdown the luminaire is in emergency operation.
c. Maintained luminaire.
Normally the luminaire is switched on and off; in case of a power breakdown the luminaire is in emergency operation.
Check that the LED-indicator lights after connecting the battery pack and after switching on the mains.
Maintenance and inspection
To protect the integrity of the emergency lighting system it is recommended that the maintenance routing is detailed and checks are recor-
ded in a log book.
1. Daily
- Check all lamps in emergency system are functioning.
- Check that the LED indicator us illuminated.
- Faults recorded in log book have been corrected.
2. Monthly
- Simulate a mains failure and check that emergency lamps illuminate. The test must not be longer than three quarter of an hour.
- On return to mains operation, check that the LED-indicator is illuminated.
3. Six Monthly
- Simulate a mains failure for one hour and check that the emergency lamps illuminate.
- On return to mains operation, check that the LED-indicator is illuminated.
4. Three Yearly
- Simulate a mains failure for three hours and check that the emergency lamps illuminate.
- On return to mains operation, check that the LED-indicator is illuminated.
If the battery pack is not replaced after three years, it is recommended that test No. 4 is done annually.
Note: after a test the specified light output is not directly available in emergency operation.
