1. Firstly turn off the Vectis iX unit and disconnect it from
the main power supply.
2. Remove the cover of the unit.
3. The new hard drive shall be placed in the free "Bigger
tray", see picture (a).
4. Loosen and remove the 4 screws and dismount both
HDD trays..
5. Mount the hard drive using the 4 screws delivered with
the NVR package. See picture (c), Position the SATA
connector as shown on picture (b).
6. Connect the SATA cable and power cable to the HDD.
The SATA cable is part of the HDD kit, it shall be also
plugged into the free SATA connector on the
motherboard. (PSU cable is already connected on NVR).
7. First put back the bigger tray then the smaller and
remount them with the screws
8. Close the box by screwing the cover to the unit case.
9. Plug-in the Vectis iX power supply cable.
10. Please follow the procedure to initialize a new HDD
described in the Vectis iX Installation Instruction Manual
(section 7.1.4).
1. Firstly turn off the Vectis iX unit and disconnect it from the
main power supply.
2. Remove the cover of the unit.
3. Inside the system, you will see two HDD racks available.
4. Loosen and remove the 4 screws that fix one HDD rack.
Dismount the rack from the system. One HDD rack
accommodates 3 trays, see picture (a).
5. Slide your HDD(s) into the available tray(s) and fix them in
place by fasten the screws delivered with the NVR
package, see picture (b).
6. Install both HDD racks back into the unit and connect the
HDD(s) with the SATA & power cables, see picture (c).
7. Close the box by screwing the cover to the unit case.
8. Plug-in the Vectis iX power supply cable.
9. Please follow the procedure to initialize a new HDD
described in the Vectis iX Installation Instruction Manual
(section 7.1.4)
