Features
Banknotes may be inserted lengthwise in any position. The
authenticity check includes the verification of the following security
features:

magnetic ink

security thread coding

After the authenticity check banknotes can be ejected optionally
through the front or rear slot. The display will reset to a default screen
15 seconds after each checking process.
The power supply options range from 110-240 volt adapter cable to
integrated and external batteries. Depending on the number of
authenticity checks, battery powered versions will last up to 6 hours.

Instruction of the functions
The 'DIR/CLEAR' button determines the ejection slot for checked
banknotes. The arrows on the display indicate the current ejection
slot. Suspect notes are always ejected through the front slot.
Holding the 'DIR/CLEAR' button for 3 seconds will also reset the
display.
To change the currency mode from British Pounds to Euros or vice
versa, press and hold the 'BANKNOTE' button for 4-5 seconds.
On the right side of the display the '€' and 'GBP' signs indicate the
current setting. If set on one currency, any banknotes of the
alternative currency will be ejected as 'suspect notes'.
The device is switched on and off by holding the 'ON/OFF' button for
3-4 seconds.
Error messages
If a suspect note has been detected by the alarm signal and front slot
ejection we recommend a second check of the same note in another
position to verify the reading. Only insert single and unfolded notes.
The detection of a suspect note is signalled by the above mentioned
alarm and one of the following note-specific error messages on the
display:
E1 = length error (incorrect length of the banknote)
E2 = magnetic ink error
E3 = magnetic code error
E4 = infrared error
E5 = infrared error
E6-E8 = paper intensity (folded note, or more than one note inserted)
CH = battery fully charged
Lo = low battery status, please recharge

If a note gets stuck during the checking process, switch off the device
before removing the banknote. After retrieving the note, close the device
again and make sure that the power cable does not get jammed in the
casing during the process.
90% of all false readings result from dirty sensors. We therefore
recommend cleaning these sensors on a monthly basis with a soft brush.
Do not use any abrasive cleaning fluids.
