• Always wear eye protection when using the product. Batteries can explode and
cause flying debris. Battery acid can cause eye and skin irritation. In case of
contact with battery acid, flush the area immediately with clean running water and
seek medical attention.
• Working with and around lead-acid batteries is dangerous. Read all the safety
instructions provided by the manufacturer of your car battery. Read all
the information regarding the use of any equipment intended to be used with
the battery and information regarding how the battery in your car should be
charged. Pay attention to any warning labels on the battery and the car.

Personal safety

• Make sure that there is someone within earshot who can help you in case of
an emergency.
• Have a supply of soap and water close in case of contact with battery acid.
• Always wear safety goggles and suitable protective clothing while working with
a car battery.
• Always wash your hands after working with a car battery and related materials.
• Keep all metal tools, watches and jewellery away from the battery. Metal objects
which come into contact with battery terminals can create sparks or short-circuit
the battery resulting in electric shock, explosion or fire. This can in turn lead to
serious injury, death or property damage.
• The product may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and
knowledge provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Never let children play with the product.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
