Vorbereitung zur Laminierung
1. Bitte das Gerät so aufstellen, dass genügend Platz vorhanden ist, um die Laminierfolie einzulegen
(also das Gerät nicht direkt vor einer Wand oder anderen Gegenständen platzieren).
2. Achten Sie darauf, dass der on/off-Kippschalter (3) auf Stellung <off> steht.
3. Netzstecker in Steckdose (230 V = normaler Hausanschluss) anschließen.

4. Gerät mit on/off-Schalter (3) (Stellung <on>) einschalten, LED-Anzeige (5) leuchtet rot auf.

5. Wählen Sie jetzt die entsprechende Folieneinstellung, indem Sie den Temperaturschalter (4) auf

<80 mic> oder <125 mic> stellen. Die jeweilige Laminierfolien-Stärke ist auf der Verpak-
kung angegeben.
6. Die Betriebsbereitschaftsleuchte (6) leuchtet grün auf, sobald das Gerät die richtige Temperatur
erreicht hat (für 80 mic Folie ca. 5 min., für 125 mic Folie ca. 3 min.).
7. Wenn Sie auf eine andere Temperaturstufe umschalten, bitte 5 min. warten, ehe Sie diese Folien
laminieren.

So laminieren Sie
1. Legen Sie das Dokument, welches Sie laminieren wollen, zwischen die beiden Seiten der Laminier-
folie. Achten Sie darauf, dass es an der geschlossenen Kante bündig anliegt.
2. Schieben Sie die Folie mit der geschlossenen Kante von hinten in den Einführungsschacht (7) an
der Rückseite des Geräts. Die Walzen ziehen die Laminierfolie automatisch ein und transportieren
sie zur Laminierfolienausgabe (8) an die Vorderseite des Geräts. Vorlagen nicht mit Gewalt heraus-
ziehen. Bei Papierstau s. unten, Kapitel„ABS-Funktion".
3. Folie kurz abkühlen lassen, fertig!
Kaltlamination
Bitte beachten Sie, dass das Gerät für Kaltlaminationen im kalten Zustand sein muss und dass
nur speziell für Kaltlaminationen vorgesehene Folien verwendet werden dürfen. Originale mit be-
handelter Oberfläche wie z. B. Fax-Thermopapier oder Polaroid-Bilder, aber auch Papiere mit
Oberflächen, die sich unter Einwirkung von Hitze verändern können, dürfen nur mit Kaltlaminierfolien
eingeschweißt werden. In diesem Fall den on/off Schalter (3) auf <COLD> stellen. Die Folien mit
eingelegtem Laminiergut in den Einführungsschacht (7) schieben.
ABS-Funktion
Ihr Laminator ist mit einem ABS-Schalter ausgestattet. Sollten Sie die Folie einmal nicht gerade
eingeführt haben oder staut sich diese im Gerät, drücken Sie den ABS-Schalter (9) kräftig nach oben.
Dann können Sie die Laminierfolie samt Laminiergut leicht aus dem Gerät ziehen und die Vorlage in
einer neuen Folie in den Folien-Einführungsschacht (7) einschieben.
Allgemeine Hinweise zur Laminierung
Reinigung der Walzen
1. Schalten Sie das Gerät wie oben beschrieben ein.
2. Falten Sie ein DIN-A4-Blatt Papier und führen Sie dieses mit dem Falz voran in den Folien-
Einführungsschacht (7). Wiederholen Sie diesen Vorgang so lange, bis keine Leimrückstände
mehr auf dem Papier haften.
Reinigung des Geräts
1. Bevor Sie Ihr Gerät reinigen, immer zuerst den Netzstecker ziehen.
2. Gerät abkühlen lassen.
3. Reinigung des Geräts immer mit einem weichen Tuch. Verwenden Sie nur neutrale Reini-
gungsmittel, nie Scheuermittel.
Was Sie zusätzlich beachten sollten
• Kinder dürfen dieses Gerät nur unter Aufsicht von Erwachsenen benutzen.
• Führen Sie niemals andere Gegenstände als Laminierfolien, die für dieses Gerät vorgesehen
sind, in den Folien-Einführungsschacht ein.
• Versuchen Sie nicht, das Gerät zu öffnen. Beim Öffnen des Geräts während der Garantiezeit
erlischt automatisch der Garantieanspruch.
• Das Gerät hat Lüftungsschlitze. Diese dürfen nicht mit anderen Gegenständen wie
Zeitschriften, Decken oder Ähnlichem abgedeckt werden.
• Nach Gebrauch Gerät ausschalten, dann immer den Netzstecker herausziehen.
• Bei Überhitzung schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch aus.
• Laminieren Sie immer nur bei Raumtemperatur (10-35°C).
GB LAMINATING MACHINE
Preparations for lamination
1. Please set up the device in such a way, that there is sufficient room to insert the laminating
film (therefore do not place the device directly in front of a wall or other items).
2. Make sure that the On/Off rocker switch (3) is in the <Off> position
3. Insert the power plug into the socket (230 V = usual house connection).
4. Switch the device on with the On/Off switch (3) (position <On>), LED-display (5) lights up red.
5. Now select the suitable film setting by adjusting the temperature switch (4)
to <80 mic> or <125 mic>.The respective laminating film thickness is indicated on the packing.
6. The operational readiness lamp (6) lights up green, as soon as the device has reached the correct
temperature (for 80 mic film approx. 5 min., for 125 mic film approx. 3 min.).
7. Allow the device to cool for at least 5 min. before you weld further (thinner) films after
switching from a higher to a lower heating level.
This is how you laminate
1. Place the document to be laminated between the two layers of the laminating film.
Ensure a flush fit against the closed edge.
2. Push the film with the closed edge at the rear into the feed slot (7) at the back of the device.
The rollers automatically pull the laminating films in and transport them to the laminating film
output (8) at the front of the device.
Do not pull the foil out forcefully. In case of a jam see below, Chapter ABS.
3. Allow film to cool briefly, finished!
Cold Lamination
Please note that the device must be cold to carry out cold lamination and that only films especially
foreseen for cold lamination may be used. Originals with a treated surface e.g. fax thermal paper or
Polaroid pictures but also papers with surfaces, which can change during exposure to heat, may only
be welded with cold laminating films. Set the On/Off switch (3) to <COLD> in this case.
Insert the films with the lamination item into the feed slot (7).
ABS switch
Your laminator is equipped with a reverse switch. Forcefully push the reverse switch (9) upwards,
if the film has not been inserted straight or if it jams in the device.You can then easily extract the
laminating film and lamination item from the device and reinsert the lamination item with a new film
into the film feed slot (7).
General notes on laminating
Cleaning the rollers
1. Switch the device on as described above.
2. Fold a DIN-A4-sheet of paper and feed with the fold at the front into the film
feed slot (7). Repeat this procedure until no glue residues
adhere to the paper.
Cleaning the device
1. Always pull out the power plug before cleaning your device.
2. Allow device to cool.
3. Always clean device with a soft cloth. Use only neutral cleaning agents,
never abrasives.
What you should additionally take into consideration
• Children may only use this device under supervision of adults.
• Never insert other items than laminating films, foreseen for this device, into the film feed slot.
• Do not try to open the device. Opening the device during the guarantee period
automatically renders the warranty void.
• The device has ventilation slots.These may not be covered with other items such as
magazines, blankets or the like
• Switch device off after use and always pull out the power plug .
• The device switches off automatically if overheated.
