Installation

A. Mounting the Siren
1. In the engine compartment, place the siren in the location where its sound will be most easily heard. Be careful
not to mount the siren near exhaust manifolds or other hot parts or moist areas.
Remark
: The siren should face forward, toward the front of the vehicle. NEVER put the siren on its back so it's
facing up.
2. Drill two 3/16" holes to screw on the mounting bracket. Mount the bracket on the vehicle with the provided screws
and lock washers.
3. Next mount the siren on the bracket using the provided bolts, washers and lock washers. Adjust the siren's
mounting angle and tighten the bolts.
B. Installing the LED status indicator
The LED indicator must be mounted in a visible location such as on top of the dashboard or on the shifter console.
Leave at least 5/8" behind the mounting location for the LED housing. Drill a 5/16" hole once a suitable location has
been chosen. Run the LED wires through the hole then press the LED housing into place. Route the LED wires to the
control module.
C. Installing the boot/bonnet pin switches
Use the provided adjustable gold pin to protect the bonnet. Examine the perimeter of the bonnet seal and radiator,
looking for a flat sheet metal surface. Drill a 9/32" (7mm) hole to mount the pin so that it makes contact with the lid
when the bonnet is closed. To protect the boot, examine the perimeter of the bonnet seal and locate a flat surface of
sheet metal to mount the self-tapping pin. Drill a ¼" hole and use a 7/16" or 11mm socket to self-tap the pin switch
into place
Remark: Mount the pin switch in a suitable location on the chassis with a good ground. If the system is set up to
detect voltage drop, the boot and bonnet light will trigger the system when one of the two is lifted. Consequently,
there is no need to install pin switches.
