All of the technical data of the power supply device is shown on the rating plate.
In case of malfunction, e.g. caused by overload (approx. 3 A) or a short-circuit,
the overload protection is triggered and automatically deactivates the output
voltage intermittently. (After a short dwell time the system restarts automatically
new). In this case, you should set your controller back to the "0" position and
disconnect the power supply device from the 230 V AC supply voltage
(household mains socket), if appropriate. The power supply will function fully
again after it has been taken back into operation.
Important! Always make sure that the hollow plug is fixed in the jack.
Only use devices which are conform to the rating of the power supply device.
Your controller and plug power supply device could be damaged or not function
correctly.
Caution: Power supply and throttle do optimally match each other. Both
devices fitted with circuit breaker and overload protection and ensure best
protection.
If using other power supplies, make sure that all technical data of the
supply have to correspond with the technical data of the throttle.
Installation:
Put the throttle on a stable and flat surface easy to reach. The throttle can be
fixed by using the 4 screw holes in the base plate. Never open or make
additional holes in the throttle housing.
Connect your system (track, accessories, etc.) as described in the (operating)
instruction manual for the controller. Now insert the hollow plug into the hollow
plug jack in the 55008 controller. (please refer to image 1, Nos. 1-3).
Press the color-coded spring-terminals and insert the bare wire ends into the
holes in the terminals. Releasing the pressure on the terminal will secure the
wire. Connect the red and blue wires from a #55270 Connection Clip to the red
and blue terminals on the throttle. ‚ (OUTPUT 0-16 V
).

Accessories have to be connected to the brown
(OUTPUT 16 V
). We recommend to use the PIKO switch boards #55261,
#55262. ‚.
Put the hollow plug of the power supply into the jack of the throttle —.
Connect the power supply on a household mains socket. ˜
Now the throttle is ready to use.
Direction and speed of your trains are continuously adjustable by turning the
control knob right or left.
In case of a malfunction by a short circuit or overload, the overload protection
will be activated. After a hold-up time of 3 sec. the system will restart
automatically. In this case switch the control knob to the "0" position, disconnect
the power supply and eliminate the fault. After repairing the fault, the throttle is
ready for use again.
Important Safety Instructions:
• Please retain the operating instructions as they include important information.
• All electrical connections have to be done with the power supply disconnected or
switched off.
• The electrical power source must have a circuit breaker or fuse sufficient to
prevent a cable fire in the event of a short circuit.
• Never connect two or more throttles with separate power supplies to the same
track layout.
• Clean the Throttle only with a damp, soft cloth. Disconnect all cables before
cleaning.
• Never insert wire from the throttle connecting cables into an electrical outlet.
• Unplug or shut off power to the power supply (transformer) when the train layout is
unattended.
• Never leave your train layout operating without supervision.
• Throttle and power supply are to be sent to the manufacturer or an authorised
dealer for repair.
• Throttle and power pack are not a toy and are not suitable for use by children
under 14 years old and are exclusively designed for operating model railway
systems and accessories.
• It is necessary to inform children that the throttle is only to be used for its
intended purpose.
• The supervising person is responsible for the use, inspection and connection
of the devices used!

En cas de malfunction, causée par exemple par une surcharge (environ 3A) ou
un court circuit, la protection est activée et coupe automatiquement la tension
de sortie répétitif. (Après un certain temps d'inactivité le système redémarre
automatiquement). Dans ce cas, il faut remettre le régulateur en position O et
déconnecter l'alimentation de l'arrivée de courant de 230 V AC. Le bon
fonctionnement reprendra après rebranchement.
Attention ! S'assurer que les prises de courant soient bien connectées. Utiliser
seulement des articles conformes au taux de l'appareil d'alimentation. Le
régulateur et le transformateur pourraient être endommagés ou ne pas
fonctionner correctement.
Attention : Le transformateur et le régulateur sont adaptés l'un à l'autre.
Les deux éléments ont des coupe-circuits et des protections de surcharge
pour assurer la meilleure protection.
Si vous utilisez une autre source d'alimentation de courant ou un autre
transformateur, il faut vérifier que ceci correspond bien aux données
techniques du variateur de vitesse.
Installation :
L'appareil peut être installé en utilisant les 4 trous à vis prévus dans le socle.
Utiliser une surface plane, stable et facilement accessible.
Ne jamais ouvrir le boîtier du variateur et ne jamais faire de trous
supplémentaires.
Connecter le système (voies, accessoires, etc) comme décrit dans la notice .
Puis brancher au 55008 comme indiqué sur l'image 1.
Presser vers l'intérieur les contacts à code couleur et insérer les extrémités
dénudées des fils dans les trous des contacts. Relâcher la pression verrouillera
les fils. Connecter les fils rouge et bleu d'un 55270 aux contacts rouge et bleu
du variateur. (SORTIE 0-16 V)

Les accessories doivent être branchés aux cosses

Connecter la prise du tranformateur à la prise du régulateur — ;
brancher le transformateur à une prise de courant murale ˜.
Le régulateur est prêt au service.
Le sens et la vitesse des trains peuvent sans arrêt être modifiés en tournant le
bouton de contrôle vers la droite ou vers la gauche.
16 V DC 8 VA
En cas de mauvais fonctionnement par court circuit ou surcharge, la protection
sera active. Après un arrêt de 3 secondes le système se remettra
automatiquement en route. Dans ce cas, tourner le bouton du variateur en
position 0, éliminer le problème. Le variateur pourra à nouveau être utilisé.
Attention ! Instructions importantes de sécurité :
• Veuillez conserver ces instructions car elles comportent des informations
importantes.
• Toutes les connexions électriques doivent être faite hors tension
• La source d'alimentation doit avoir un coupe circuit ou un fusible suffisant pour
éviter que le câble ne prenne feu en cas de court circuit
• Ne jamais connecter 2 ou plusieurs variateurs ayant des alimentations
différentes à une même voie.
• Nettoyer le variateur uniquement avec un chiffon doux humide. Déconnecter
tous les câbles avant nettoyage.
• Ne jamais insérer un câble du variateur directement dans une prise électrique.
• Débrancher ou couper le courant (transformateur) quand personne ne
s'occupe du réseau de trains.
• Ne jamais laisser le réseau en marche sans surveillance.
• Le variateur doit être envoyé au fabricant ou à un détaillant autorisé pour
réparation.
• Le variateur n'est pas un jouet et n'est pas destiné à être utilisé par des
enfants de moins de 14 ans. Il est essentiellement destiné au fonctionnement
de réseau de modélisme ferroviaire.
• Vous devez impérativement informer vos enfants que ce variateur ne doit être
utilisé que pour ce à quoi il est destiné.
• La personne qui a l'autorité est responsable de l'inspection et de la connexion
des appareils.
