Portable Gas Heater
USER INSTRUCTIONS
USE OUDOORS ONLY
IMPORTANT: Please read these instructions for use carefully to familiarise
yourself with the appliance before connecting unit to gas cartridge.
Please keep these instructions for future reference.
This appliance should ONLY be used with Butane Battery® A4 gas cartridge. It
may be hazardous to attempt to fit or use another type cartridge.

CAUTION: During use some accessible parts of the heater will become very
hot. Keep young children away from the appliance.
Use only outside away from flammable materials.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1) Remove heater from packaging and place on a flat, stable surface.
2) Lift open the gas cartridge housing cover using the finger hole (See main
diagram item 5).
3) Check that the seals are in position and in good condition. Ensure that the
ignition switch is in the OFF position and the gas cartridge lever is in the
OUT position (See diagrams A and B).
4) Insert the gas cartridge, carefully aligning the locator (see diagrams C)
5) Push the gas cartridge locking lever down to secure. Close cover.
6) Ignite burner by turning the ignition switch counter clockwise to the spark
position indicated by the star
until igniter clicks then release. Repeat this action until burner ignites.
7) Adjust ignition / heat control knob to required temperature. You may not
see a flame during daylight hours or in bright light. To check the heater
has ignited, pass your hand 20cm in front of the protective wire casing.
8) In very cold weather pull the choke ring whilst igniting.
9) After use, extinguish the flame by rotating the ignition switch clockwise to
the upright / OFF position and disengage gas cartridge by sliding the
locking lever up to the top / OUT position.
10) Allow the appliance to cool before removing the gas cartridge from the
gas cartridge housing. Store the gas cartridge separately from the heater
in a cool, well-aired place.
11) Ensure appliance is completely cool before cleaning and / or storage.
12) Store heater in a well-aired place free from humidity.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Check that seals between appliance and gas are in place and in good
condition before engaging gas cartridge. (See Diagram A).
• Check alignment of gas cartridge collar notch with locating safety
tab. (See Diagram C).
• This appliance should ONLY be used with Butane Battery® A4 gas
cartridge. It may be hazardous to attempt to fit or use another type
cartridge.
• Change gas cartridges in a well-ventilated location, preferably outside,
away from any source of ignition, such as naked flames, pilot lights,
electrical fires and away from people.

• There are NO user serviceable parts.
• NEVER use a flame to detect leaks.
• Do NOT use this appliance for purposes other than outdoor heating.
• Use ONLY on a flat horizontal surface, well protected from wind.
• Use ONLY outside, due to risk of oxygen depletion in confined spaces.
WARNING
• Do NOT use this heater for purposes other than outdoor heating.
• This heater is NOT suitable for purposes such as drying fabrics, clothes or
for cooking.
• Keep away from flammable materials.
• Do NOT use this heater indoors and place at least 50cm away from any
adjacent surface.
• Do NOT move appliance during operation. The heater remains hot for a
while after use. Wait until appliance is cool before handling.
DISPOSAL OF GAS CARTRIDGES
• Dispose of gas cartridges safely. Butane gas is highly flammable, do NOT
pierce or burn cartridge.
• Dispose of any damaged cartridges immediately.
