MATERIALFEUCHTEMESSGERÄT für Holz und Baustoffe
Einführung
Sie haben einen Holzfeuchtemesser HFM erworben. Damit können Sie den Feuchtigkeitsgehalt von Holz
(auch Papier und Karton) sowie von weichen Baustoffen (Mörtel, Beton und Putz) messen. Die Anzeige
des Feuchtigkeitsgehalts des Materials erfolgt direkt auf dem Display.
Das Gerät zeigt auch die Umgebungstemperatur an. Es ist transportabel und sehr einfach in der Anwen-
dung.
Bevor Sie das Gerät benutzen, lesen Sie bitte zuerst die Bedienungsanleitung
Inbetriebnahme
Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach in dem Sie die untere, orangene Schutzkappe herunterziehen und legen Sie
die Batterien (4 x LR44 Knopfzellen) ein, +/- Pol wie abgebildet. Das Gerät ist jetzt betriebsbereit.
Bedienungsanleitung
Nehmen Sie die obere, orangene Schutzkappe ab und schalten Sie das Geräte an der ON/SET Taste an.
Vorsicht: Die Fühler liegen nun frei.
Die Hintergrundbeleuchtung schaltet sich automatisch an und nach ca. 3 Sekunden wieder aus.
Die folgenden Möglichkeiten stehen zur Verfügung:
• Messung des Feuchtigkeitsgehalts in Holz (Symbol eines Baumes erscheint im Display)
• Messung des Feuchtigkeitsgehalts im Mauerwerk (Symbol einer Mauer erscheint im Display)
• Messung der Temperatur in Celsius (°C)
• Messung der Temperatur in Fahrenheit (°F)
Um in den Einstellmodus zu gelangen drücken Sie die Taste und halten Sie diese für ca. 3 Sekunden
gedrückt. Während das Symbol blinkt, drücken Sie die Taste wieder, bis sich das Messgerät in der
gewünschten Messart befindet und das entsprechende Symbol auf dem Display erscheint.
Durchführung der Messung
Zur Feuchtigkeitsmessung drücken Sie die beiden Messfühler in das zu messende Holz bzw. das zu messende
Material. Das Ergebnis erscheinen auf dem Display.
Bei der Temperaturmessung zeigt das Display die gegenwärtige Umgebungstemperatur direkt an.
Automatische Abschaltung
Bei Nichtbenutzung schaltet sich das Gerät nach ca. 15 Sekunden aus.
Batteriewechsel
• Wenn das Batteriesymbol auf dem Display erscheint, müssen die Batterien gewechselt werden.
• Verwenden Sie Alkaline Batterien. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Batterien polrichtig eingelegt sind.
Schwache Batterien sollten möglichst schnell ausgetauscht werden, um ein Auslaufen der Batterien zu
vermeiden. Batterien enthalten gesundheitsschädliche Säuren. Beim Hantieren mit ausgelaufenen
Batterien beschichtete Handschuhe und Schutzbrille tragen!
• Achtung: Bitte entsorgen Sie Altgeräte und leere Batterien nicht über den Hausmüll. Geben Sie diese
bitte zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung beim Handel oder entsprechenden Sammelstellen gemäß natio-
naler oder lokaler Bestimmungen ab.
Instandhaltung
• Bewahren Sie Ihr Holzfeuchtemesser HFM an einem trockenen Platz auf.
• Setzen Sie das Gerät keinen extremen Temperaturen, Vibrationen und Erschütterungen aus.
• Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem weichen, leicht feuchten Tuch. Keine Scheuer- oder Lösungsmittel
verwenden!

• Das Gerät ist kein Spielzeug. Bewahren Sie es außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf.
• Dieses Gerät ist nicht für medizinische Zwecke oder zur öffentllichen Information geeignet, sondern für

Introduction
You have purchased a Holzfeuchtemesser HFM moisture meter. This instrument allows you to measure
the degree of moisture in wood (including paper and cardboard) as well as in soft building materials
(mortar, concrete and plaster). The degree of moisture present in the material is indicated directly on the
display.
The meter also displays the ambient temperature. It is portable and extremely easy to use.
Please be sure to read the operating instructions before using your moisture meter for the first time.
Getting started
Open the battery compartment by pulling down the bottom, orange protective cap and insert the batter-
ies (4 x LR44 button cells), +/- pole as illustrated. Your meter is now ready for use.
Operating instructions
Remove the top, orange protective cap and switch the meter on at the ON/SET button.
Caution: The probes are now exposed.
The backlighting switches on automatically and switches off again after approx. 3 seconds.
The following functions are available:
• Measuring the degree of moisture in wood (a tree icon appears in the display)
• Measuring the degree of moisture in masonry (a wall icon appears in the display)
• Measuring the temperature in degrees Celsius (°C)
• Measuring the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit (°F)
To access the setting mode, press and hold the button for approx. 3 seconds. While the icon is flashing,
press the button again until the meter is in the mode you require and the corresponding icon appears in
the display.
Performing a measurement
To measure the moisture in a material, press both metering probes into the wood and/or material to be test-
ed. The reading will appear on the display.
When measuring the temperature, the display shows the present ambient temperature directly.
Automatic switch-off
When the meter is not used, it will automatically switch off after approx. 15 seconds.
Battery replacement
• When the batteries are used up, low battery icon appears on the display.
• Use alkaline batteries only. Observe correct polarity. Low batteries should be changed soon to avoid the
damage resulting from a leaking battery. Batteries contain harmful acids. Wear protective glasses and
gloves when handling with leaked batteries.
• Attention: Please do not dispose of old electronic devices and used batteries in household waste. To
protect the environment, take them to your retail store or to appropriate collection sites according to
national or local regulations.
Maintenance
• Keep your Holzfeuchtemesser HFM in a dry place.
• Do not expose the instrument to extreme temperatures, vibration or shock.
• Clean it with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.

MEDIDOR DE HUMEDAD para madera y materiales de construcción
Introducción
Ha adquirido Vd. un medidor de humedad Holzfeuchtemesser HFM. Este aparato mide el contenido de
humedad de la madera (también del papel y del cartón) y de materiales de construcción blandos (argama-
sa, hormigón y revoque). El contenido de humedad del material se indica directamente en el display.
El aparato indica también la temperatura ambiente, es transportable y muy fácil de manejar.
Por favor, antes de utilizar el aparato lea detenidamente las instrucciones de manejo.
Puesta en funcionamiento
Abra el compartimento para las pilas tirando de la tapa protectora naranja inferior hacia abajo e intro-
duzca las pilas (4 pilas de botón LR44) observando la polaridad +/- indicada. A continuación el aparato
estará listo para el servicio.
Instrucciones de manejo
Desmonte la tapa protectora naranja superior y encienda el aparato pulsando el botón de encendido
ON/SET. Atención: Los sensores quedan al descubierto.
La iluminación de fondo se enciende automáticamente y vuelve a apagarse después de 3 segundos.
A disposición existen las siguientes funciones:
• Medición del contenido de humedad en madera (en el display aparece representado el símbolo de un árbol)
• Medición del contenido de humedad en la mampostería (en el display aparece representado el símbolo
de un muro)
• Medición de la temperatura en grados Celsius (°C).
• Medición de la temperatura en grados Fahrenheit (°F)
Para acceder al modo de ajuste mantenga pulsada la tecla durante 3 segundos. Mientras que el símbolo
parpadea vuelva a pulsar la tecla tantas veces como sea necesario hasta alcanzar la forma de medición
deseada que será representada en el display mediante el símbolo correspondiente.
Medición
Para llevar a cabo la medición de la humedad presione los dos sensores en la madera o en el material que
vaya a ser medido. El resultado aparecerá representado en el display.
Si se mide la temperatura, en el display será indicada la temperatura ambiente.
Desconexión automática
El aparato se desconecta automáticamente tras 15 segundos si no está siendo utilizado.
Cambio de las pilas
• Si la pila está muy baja, aparece el símbolo de pila en la pantalla.
• Utilice pilas alcalinas. Asegúrese de que las pilas se coloquen con la polaridad correcta. Las pilas bajas
deben cambiarse lo antes posible, para evitar fugas. Las pilas contienen ácidos nocivos para la salud.
¡Utilice guantes recubiertos y gafas protectoras si manipula pilas con fugas de líquido!
• Atención: El aparato y las baterías usadas no deben ser depositados con los residuos normales de la
casa. Por favor deposítelas en el comercio especializado o bien en los centros de recogida y reciclaje
previstos para ello según el reglamento nacional o local.
Observaciones
• Almacene su Holzfeuchtemesser HFM en un lugar seco.
• No exponga el aparato a temperaturas, vibraciones y sacudidas extremas.
• Limpie el aparato con un trapo suave, ligeramente humectado. ¡No utilizar ningún medio abrasivo o
disolvente!
