8. To switch off, turn the lower switch until the LEDs go out.
In order to save battery life, the switch can be turned to the off
position after every light colour!
tips for Use
• The more you turn the wing screw, the more clearly the
watermarks of the stamp appear.
• Place only completely dry stamps onto the slide.
• The stamps should ideally be free from hinge marks and rubber
or paper residue. For stamps with hinges, the stamp should be
placed so that the hinge / hinge mark lays outside of the slide.
• Examine only one stamp at a time. With two or more stamps,
differences in paper thickness can lead to inaccurate or
incorrect results.
• Catalogues and tables can be used as a reference for the
position and the appearance of the watermarks. Please note,
however, that the illustrations and information given may not
always be the same. The watermarks appear dark with the
device but often appear light in catalogues and tables.
• Always keep the slide clean. Clean the slide with a soft, lint-
free cloth and mild cleaning solution if necessary.
3. Place the stamp obverse facing
down in the middle of the slide
and close the cover again.
4. Push the slide back into the device
and tighten up the wing screw by
turning clockwise (to the right).
5. Switch on the device by turning
the lower rotary switch (on the
right of the device).
6. You can also change the colour
of the light using this switch (red,
blue, green, white).
7. The brightness of the selected
light colour can be regulated
using the upper rotary knob (on
the right of the device).
