INSTALLATION NOTES
General information
These installation notes explain only the wiring arrangement for
this module. Further descriptions and safety-relevant data are to
be inferred from the appropriate manuals.
Mounting
The DeviceNet FD67NDNM127804 bus node can be mounted
directly onto a base plate or on to a machine (first remove the cap)
by means or two fixing holes in the housing of the base module.
Please ensure that the mounting surface has no unevenness,
which could put a strain on the module housing. The module
mounting requires two screws Ø 4 mm and two washers. The
spacing of the fixing holes is 125 ± 0,5 mm.
Torque of the M4 screws : 2 ± 0,5Nm.
Provide for an adequate cable relief clamp.
Make a short (max. 20 cm) and low-impedance ground connection
to the housing cap (screw accessible from underneath) with the
ground cable.

Torque of the M3 screw: 1,2 ± 0,2 Nm
The cap shall only be removed while the module is not under
voltage. This will not affect the DeviceNet operation.
Torque of the screws in the cap: 1,0 ± 0,2 Nm.
Station address
The station address is set by means of two BCD selectors located
under the cap. The decimal coded address is directly set by the two
selectors.

Addresses can be set between 00 and 63.
Address > 63 means MAC-ID 63 operation.

The baud rate is set by means of the DR switch.

Power supply connection
The mains voltage is connected to the module by means of a 7/8"
5-pole connector.

The max. admissible current per pin is 9 A.
This shall be observed if standard cables are used.
DeviceNet connection
The DeviceNet cable is connected to the bus node by means of a
M12 connector. Connect also the terminal resistor by screwing a
bus terminal resistance (FD67L) at the end of the bus.
Please observe the ODVA instructions.

DeviceNet configuration
A EDS file is required to configure the bus node by means of a
configuration software. You can find the EDS file under:

Module connection
Modules can be connected directly to the bus node via the internal
DR
system connection.
M12 sockets that are not used must be closed by means of a blind
plug (FD67BLKM120000)
Torque : 0,6+0,1 Nm.

Use exclusively Norgren cables for the internal system
connection.
The max. admissible current per pin is 4 A.

of residential areas.
Good chemical and oil resistance.
When using aggressive mediums,
material resistance based on
application must be checked.
In order not to damage
the contacts, it is
advisable to cut the
modules from the
bus node while
they are not under
voltage.
