7 Troubleshooting

No sound to hear
a. The signal source (HiFi system, TV set, etc.), the
headphones, or the transmitting unit are not
switched on.
Switch on the corresponding units.
b. The transmitting unit does not receive an input
signal.
Check the connection of the transmitting unit to
the signal source.
c. The volume at the signal source or at the head-
phones is set to minimum.
Turn up the corresponding control.
d. The headphones have not correctly been tuned to
the transmitting frequency. The LED (7) lights red.
Activate the automatic tuning with button TUNE
(5). After a few seconds the LED (7) changes
from red to green, and the headphones are
exactly tuned to the transmitting frequency of
the transmitting unit.
e. The batteries in the headphones are exhausted or
the rechargeable batteries are discharged.
Replace the batteries or recharge the recharge-
able batteries.
Audible interfering noise
a. The transmitting unit is placed too close to the TV
set.
Enlarge the distance.
b. The transmission channel is interfered by other
units.
Switch to another channel (1, 2, or 3) of the
transmitting unit, and activate the automatic
tuning at the headphones with button TUNE (5)
or, if possible, switch off the interfering unit.
Poor sound quality
a. The distance between the transmitting unit and the
headphones is too large (max. 100 m).
Reduce the distance.
b. The volume of the signal source is too high and
causes distortions.
Reduce the volume of the signal source.
c. The volume of the signal source is too low. A noise
is audible with low-volume music.
Increase the volume of the signal source.
d. The batteries in the headphones are almost ex-
hausted or the rechargeable batteries are almost
discharged.
Replace the batteries resp. recharge the re-
chargeable batteries.
Music is only audible in a monophonic way
a. The signal source is switched to mono.
Switch to stereo reproduction.
b. The connection to the signal source is made via a
mono adapter.
Use a stereo adapter.
