INSTALLATION:

Take off all the packing and then put the machine head

OPERATION AND CAUTIONS:
1. Insert the plug in the corresponding socket and turn the slide switch to
"AUTO/ON" position, the machine is in waiting condition then. The shredder will
automatically begin to work when paper is inserted in the throat of the shredder
and it will resume in waiting condition after finishing shredding.
2. Turn the switch to "OFF" position when the basket needs emptying or the
shredder will not be used for a long time.
3. "REV" is used to assist removing the paper jam by reversing the motor due to the
exceeded shredding capacity.
4. If there are still some paper tips remain on the blades, please use "REV" and then
"AUTO/ON" 1-2 times to shred and clear them completely.
5. In order to ensure long life span and excellent function to the machine, please
kindly notice that the largest shredding capacity of this machine is 7(5) sheets
(80g) at a time and it is recommended to insert 7(5) sheets every time for
continuous shredding and let the shredder cool for 4 minutes after continuous
shredding for 2 minutes to ensure best operation.
6. There is an overheat protection set for the motor for it to shut off automatically
when it is overheated resulted from continuous working. It will resume to work
after about 15 minutes cooling.
7. There is another safety design for the machine that the shredder will not work
when the shredding unit is taken away from the basket or is not properly
positioned on the basket.

8. Please keep fingers, ties or other small items away from the feeding opening to
prevent from accidental injury.
9. Please do not attempt to shred clips, staples, laminated items, photos, plastic bags or
cloth material to avoid the damage of cutting system and the shortening of the
shredder's life-span.
10. Empty the basket when it is full.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Read the instruction manual before use.
2. Follow all the warnings and instructions marked on the machine.
3. Do not place the machine near or over a radiator or heat source.
4. Unplug it from the wall outlet socket when cleaning the shredder or when the power
cord or plug needs repairing.
CHECKLIST FOR MALFUNCTIONS:
If the equipment does not work properly, please check the following points first:
! Is your shredder plugged in?
! Is the main power switch "ON"?
! Is your shredder jammed with paper?
! Is the motor overheated?
! Is the machine properly positioned on the wastebasket? (A safety switch under the
head only can be activated when the head and the basket are
! properly. For safety reasons, when the head is dislodged the machine can not be in
operated.)
! Is the paper material too soft and unable to press the auto-start device inside the
entrance?
