or misused. Do not operate the unit if persons are in the water! Always disconnect the power plugs from all
units in the water and from this unit prior to reaching into the water and starting work on the unit! Compare
the electrical values of the power supply with those on the type plate on the packaging or on the unit itself.
Only operate the unit when plugged into an earthed socket. The latter must have been installed in accordance
with the valid national regulations. Ensure that the protective earth wire is led to the unit. Only use electrical
equipment, adapters, extension or connection cables with an earthed contact which are approved for outside

Cleaning and changing the UVC lamp (Figures A-B)
Attention! Dangerous electrical voltage.
Possible consequences: Death or severe injury.
Protective measures: Disconnect the power plug prior to reaching into the water and commencing work.
For an optimum filter performance, we recommend to replace the UVC lamp after approx. 8,000 operating hours
(approximately 12 months) (B).
Opening the unit
Turn the unit head counter-clockwise against the stop, then carefully pull out. Note: A safety switch prevents
switching on the UVC lamp as long as the housing is removed.
Clean the quartz glass
Clean the quartz glass outer face with a moist cloth and check for damage. Take care handling the quartz glass,
as it is very delicate.
Changing the UVC lamp
Important! Only use lamps the designation and rating of which match the information on the type plate. Use a
piece of paper or a soft cloth to replace the bulb.
Undo the clamping screw by turning counter-clockwise, and remove the quartz glass including the O ring with
a slight turning movement. Remove the O ring from the quartz glass, clean and check for damage. Pull out the
UVC lamp and replace. Also thoroughly clean the inner and outer surfaces of the housing.
Reassembling the unit
Refit the O ring and insert the quartz glass in the unit head against the stop. Press the O ring into the gap
between unit head and quartz glass (B). Screw in the clamping screw clockwise and manually tighten. Check
the O ring at the unit head (A) for damage, ensure that the O ring is seated againt the recess at the unit head.
Carefully push the unit head into the housing while applying slight pressure. Ensure that the tenons at the
housing engage in the grooves of the bayonet closure. Turn the unit head clockwise against the stop while
applying slight pressure (the two arrows on the housing and the unit head meet). Start up the pump first, then
connect the power supply.
Storage/Over-wintering
Remove the unit at temperatures below zero degrees centigrade. Clean the unit thoroughly, check for damage
and store in a dry and frost-free environment.
Wear parts
The UVC lamp is a wearing part and does not fall under the warranty. We recommend replacing it every 12
months to ensure correct operation.
Disposal
Dispose of the unit in accordance with the national legal regulations. The UVC lamp needs special disposal.
Ask your specialist dealer.
